    Oh i agree. If M$ is trying to stop people from getting at their IP, then by all means patch the thing. M$, however, has been riding the DRM bandwagon as of late, and has now released a patch in regards to this very issue. I guess people are afraid that companies will eventually be able to tell you what you can do and how you can do it in regards to buying products.

            There's more to this gray area too. Think of set-top boxes for cable services. You are not allowed to open these to even have a chance at breaking the EEPROM encryption key even though it is physically in your home. I wonder if these people are against that too.

            Personally, I could care less if you could get Linux to install on Xbox or not. We all know its MS fault for giving Xbox a similar architecture to a PC anyways. They just want to see it because its a contradiction in terms. Seeing Linux on a Microsoft machine. Its just like when my old roommate made Windows 98 look and function EXACTLY like Mac OS 9.
