Can you just have AI bots? Haven't played with it much yet.

Nope, any map that goes online can't have any AI, vehicles, or weapon placements.

I think he meant play JUST against bots. If so, then yes, you can (from my understanding a few pages back)

Was playing a little while ago and was sneaking around an enemy camp and there was one of my allies sneaking near the side of the water and out of nowhere (when I was following him), a gator grabbed him and I tried to save him but the gator grabbed me and I had to fight to kill him. My ally did not make it.

Loving it so far. PC looks amazing on Ultra 1080p HD

I see no way to make a map with AI and play alone.
I also don't see a bot option to play mutiplayer alone.

Forgetting bout online for just a moment...

There is a single-player sandbox mode where you can create a map and put any AI,vehicles,animals on the map that you want.

you can't have ai,cars to weapons on a multiplayer map they wont validate the map!!! i dont understand why they put them in the editor if you can't use them online!!! you can however make a "offline" map and add ai,car and weapons SMH maybe they will make a DLC and we have to buy it or something!! personally i feel that it's a big let down!!! i feel like they are trying to hard to be like COD!!! i will prob play the campain!! but thats about it.

But thats testing the map in the editor, and not playing your map via Far cry game. When you test it out its not a smooth as playing the real game.

From what I've seen there is no connection from maps you make in the editor and the actual game unless you make it a multiplayer map and then you can load it in the game.
But if offline bots means playing "test map" in the editor, then thats BS.


side note to you editors: Save very often, like every major thing you add. On the PC I've crashed a few times and it hurts after adding all the little details to a room.

I don't care about not playing online as I don't go online in shooters but would like to just play vs bots.

This game is truly a unique experience. I've never felt so helpless in a shooter before, and I love it. I find myself avoiding confrontation from 2 foot soldiers because ammo is so scarce and I can't afford to fight them. I love the idea of having to hunt so that you can make a simple holster for ammo to carry more than 20 pistol bullets.

I've never played a sandbox game with so much exploration not only encouraged, but required to have success. I can't wait until Jason gets more skills and then I won't be avoiding these skirmishes, I'll be kicking some a**.

I could never get into Skyrim because the mythology and different fictional races never drew me in personally. Far Cry 3 is much more inviting to me, great game so far!

I had a fight with pirates, wild dogs, and tiger, it was everyman for himself.
I love the random stuff that goes on.

Running through the jungle when I come on a guy standing over two dead guys digging through their pockets, and he gives me a hardy "Hello". Not pirates or rebels, just some local guy.

Game of the Year. Single player is amazing, Co-op is really fun with friends and mp is just like cod but with better melee animations imo. Plus you can make your own maps and tattoos for your mp player. Lots of solid games this year but this game is champion of 2012 for me.

Couldn't have said it better myself. On top of that, the random events are just awesome. Late last night I was walking along the river when up ahead a guy was minding his own business. Next thing I know an alligator had pulled him under and ate him to pieces.

Not to mention, this game is beautiful on Ultra settings. Haven't played alot of games this year besides sports games. This could very easily be my GOTY.

I'm trying to get as many towers unlocked!! As I can so I'm making my way through the water I'm finding myself saying over and over "no sharks or gators" then I get bum rushed by rabid dogs and as I'm unloading clips into them...... Here come pirates smh also need to pay Attention when driving would save a ton of heartache to watch the road instead of the road AND the blame map so I don't find myself down in the river or slapped up against a blame tree
