Re: Far Cry 3
I've just about wet myself a few times diving into water and being grabbed by a gator or having a tiger just pounce on me as I'm tring to snipe a few deer to make a new pouch. I'm loving every freaking minute of it, I've spent hours just roaming the countryside killing helpless animals, scaling tall rickety radio towers, and clearing out rebel camps.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

I was rocking the .50 cal last night and I think I like the M700 better(with the high powered scope and silencer). This game could def. use more weapons though...My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

The funniest thing Ive seen so far was I reactivating a radio tower and I hear "there he is!" and I got all frantic and paranoid, I pull up the camera and zoom in to see 2 leopards killing 4 pirates! Then they wouldn't leave so I was stuck (didnt want to use the zip line cause it would've dropped me into more pirates) I couldnt shoot the leopards because I only had a pistol with 3 rounds left! (Im still at the very beginning of the game) Great game though!Last edited by acolbert; 12-10-2012, 11:19 AM.Rather than complain about life, take responsibility and do something about it..Comment

Re: Far Cry 3
Got this friday on my PC and it runs awesome on Optimal.
This game is awesome. I've only met with the Dr. (2nd main mission) and that's it. I've been working on crafting and radio towers. I'm somewhat holding off on a lot of the main story clearing the outposts and whatnot as well.
I'd really like to roll though the Hunter quests so I can have the biggest bags and all that.
I finally got the silenced sniper before I had to stop playing yesterday, so I'm hyped there.
Do you guys use the bow or the silenced pistol more? I kinda like the bow more so far, especially for hunting, since you can get your arrows back....Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Far Cry 3
Man, making it to another part of the island can be tough. Between running into animals and enemies, I find myself running low on ammo and fighting hard to stay alive. Even when you're trying to avoid conflict it can be quite difficult to do so. Fun game though, can't wait to get back to it.Comment

Re: Far Cry 3
Yeah, when you kill something and walk over it (person or animal) the arrow gets added back to your inventory. IMO it's been a great way to hunt, as long as you can get close enough (not as good as a sniper rifle in this regard).
If you hit the arrows are 1 shot kills.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

I used the bow a lil bit but the silenced sniper rifle is the way to go. When taking out big cats, I'm bringing in the heavy .50My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: Far Cry 3
I'm very early in the game (Have to go see Dr. Earnhardt)... BUT
How do I unlock more spots for guns? When I press L2, I only have 1 spot open.Last edited by The Kid 24; 12-10-2012, 02:05 PM.Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Re: Far Cry 3
You need to craft the weapon holsters...you end up hunting and skinning to get the skins needed to make a new holster. Same for ammo, grenades, c4, syringes, etc. All that is hunting and crafting to get better stuff. I just saw Dr. E myself, and am going to hold off a bit longer so I can do hunting and some other stuff before continuing the story.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Far Cry 3
I'm really really loving this game, can't complain at all so far.
Well, I do understand the minor hate on the UI elements showing up too much (So tired of the message getting flashed to go to my next story mission), but it's a very minor nitpick and I think they'll update that eventually.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Yeah, there's tons you can do, unlock more guns with the towers, all the other missions, clear the pirates from areas, etc.

I noticed that is for PC gamers but I would imagine the patch would be for console players as well?Last edited by The Kid 24; 12-10-2012, 03:05 PM.Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment
