Damn. I might have to wipe the dust off my X360 and pop this in tonight.

But I couldn't wait for him to be on the screen.
I was actually kind of disappointed that he gets killed off not at the end. It was such a good character I wanted him to be killed in an epic way to end the game.

I had a hard time finishing the game because once I knew how the AI behaved, it became too easy. I hate having to handicap myself playing video games and I had to do this. Silenced sniper rifle made this game too easy

Yes the silenced sniper rifle is too easy. Personally for me it wasn't a problem since I didn't use it. I preferred the "stab the guy in the neck and then take his knife and throw it into another guys neck" style.

The close quarters combat upgrades were all very cool.

My basic strategy for the outposts were to be as stealthy as I could. Sometimes I would create a distraction to lead them out and then bust them up from the inside. Other times I would unleash a caged animal (literally) and maul as many of them before I went in and cleaned up. It was fun just trying different ways of combat.

Nothing like releasing a tiger during a mission or outpost and it taking out a bunch of them. Only sad part is after it's done killing the enemy you have to reward the little guy by killing him. Wish I could befriend a tiger and be bad *** combat buddies haha.

This thread is full of great 'in the wild' stories, but it bears bringing up again how cool of an element it is to this game to be walking around through the brush and be stalked by panthers and tigers you hear but don't see...

Also the komodo dragon swarms....and those damn killer turkey things...LOL Adds a great level of intensity to an already brilliant game.

FC3 just can't get too many kudos, IMO. That game and X-COM were the best 1-2 punch combo in gaming for me for a long time.

I so much wish I could retract my earlier rant of frustration. I stuck with the game and am so enthralled now. Bad thing was I did something and corrupted my save file on 27 so I had to start over. Not upset with it at all, actually getting so much more out of the game the second time.

Vaas's voice is so hilarious; so well done. Jason has such a weenie voice, lol.

Far Cry 3 fans should be pleased to know that Vas aka Michael Mando is a character on a pretty darn good (new) show airing on BBC America titled "Orphan Black". You guys should check it out, very cool.

I thought you was about to say Vaas would be back for Far Cry 4.

I'm just about to start my first play through on PC. Finally since picking it up so long ago.

Should I vanilla play through first or are there any must have mods on the first play through? I know there are mods available but not sure I should roll with them the first time I play or not.

Updated my pc and ended up having to reinstall the OS. Forgot to back up all my game saves. I was bummed at first but after starting over, I'm remembering when I had the most fun with this game: the hunting and crafting. So fun. Plus opening a tiger cage at an outpost, sitting back and watching him do work is great.
                            PS: You guys are great.

Hunting, crafting, out-post raiding, and the Rakyat (sp) challenges are all great. I really enjoyed the storyline missions on the first island, too.

I'm about 12 hours in now and really enjoying it. Ignoring the objectives just because there's a lot to do.

Gator scared the crap out of me the first time I ventured into the water too. Wasn't expecting that.
