Namco Bandai have announced Tekken Hybrid, exclusive to the PlayStation 3. The compilation will be a Blu-ray compilation consisting of the upcoming Tekken: Blood Vengeance CG movie, an update of the original Tekken Tag Tournament in high-definition, and other unannounced content.

Make that Tekken: Blood Vengeance 3D. Namco are keen to point out that Blood Vengeance will support stereoscopic 3D on the PlayStation 3, just as it does in 3D theatres.

The story follows Xiaoyu Ling, martial artist and high school student, tasked by the G Corporation to infiltrate an international school in Kyoto to gather information on a mysterious student named Shin Kamiya. Inadvertently, she gets mixed up with Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima.

Saw this advertised but at nearly full price. I loved Tekken Tag Tournament, bought it with my launch PS2 and played it for years at college and I love these HD remakes but I want Tag 2 already. The added demo is a nice touch but I am on the fence at the moment.

Yeah for next year. Hybrid has a playable demo of it that gives you 4 characters.

When you break Tekken Hybrid into its respective elements, it’s really not a bad deal. Factor about $25 bucks for a 3D Blu-ray film and an additional $15 for Tekken Tag HD, and the $40 price makes more sense (since Tekken Tag 2 Prologue is basically a beefed up demo, we’ll just count that one as a freebie). However, as an all-or-nothing pack, Tekken Hybrid all but requires you to wholeheartedly want to purchase both the film and the HD reboot of the game; if you aren’t sold on or are ambivalent to one of those halves, you won’t be getting your money’s worth out of Tekken Hybrid.

That being said, for the Tekken purists out there, there is a lot to love. From the 3D film to the HD-ified Tekken Tag Tournament, if you are a super fan of the series, this is a solid chunk of Tekken content, and a fine way to pass the time until Tekken Tag Tournament 2 hits.

If they released Tag HD on PSN for $20 I would buy it in a second. Not going to pay $50 for it and a movie I would never watch though.

QUESTION now i know this one is for ps3 only but in gerneral what systems do you guys feel is better for fighting games ps3 or 360

Depends if you have a stick or not. If you have a stick it doesn't matter. If you don't I would say PS3 because of the controller.

No online is a real bummer. Not sure if I want to pull the trigger just to play the CPU. How's everyone liking the game?
