I was a big fan of BGA. How does D&D stack up to it. What are the RPG elements like. Is there really any story??

It's a LOT like BGA, but it seems to have "more" of most stuff...more animations, more effects, more items, etc. You can zoom the camera in so close that you can see specific things on your character. Last night I got two "special" swords...one flaming and one poisoned. The flaming sword looked absolutely bad ***! Every character I hit gets lit up on fire

I rented this with one of the free rentals I have left (got like 15 free game rentals when I got my xbox through a new store opening up). It's fun so far. I think I like the turn based KOTOR a little better, but part of it is probably the fact that I'm not really into much of a storyline yet, I've got to give it time to develop.

I think I'll wait for Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2. They are going to have about 40 levels plus the screens look great. It is only going to be a couple weeks before it gets released.

i enjoy this game, but I don't think I'd buy it...it's fun, but I can't see it grabbing my attention like KOTOR...but I'm just getting more into RPG's, so this might be a great game for others

The only thing that even remotely ties it to KOTOR is that you're fighting a lot of characters. In this one, the better you are at moving the stick and mashing buttons, the better you'll do. It's a flat-out action title. It's closer to Diablo and Diablo 2 on the PC than it is KOTOR in my opinion.

However, I rented it from Gamefly, so I didn't buy it either. Outside of sports/racing games, very few titles actually make me want to buy it and play it over and over again...all non sports games are rentals to me
