I have an MS router (on the box it says Xbox Ready) and it works like a dream. I've also used a Linksys and D-link router with it as well and they both worked great.

When using any of those did you need an additional piece of equipment to use it wirelessly? I have a D-Link wireless router (that's X-Box compatible) and want to get X-Box live but don't know if I need to get one of those wireless gaming access points.

a wireless bridge (aka game adapter) is what you need.
