Summer of Arcade starts today with this. Anyone download it yet?

I played through the first chapter and I really like it so far. The gameplay has a Secret of Mana feel to it. The narrator is definitely a cool and original addition and the soundtrack I've heard so far is excellent. I can say its the best of the year that I've heard so far.

Also its supposed to eventually hit Steam, but I'm not sure when.

I got it last night. The microsoft store website has a deal where you got it and the maw for $15.

Played through it some more last night. It feels like I'm close to halfway through looking at what unlocks I have left. The game has essentially the equivalent of Halo skulls and turning them on make the game extremely tough. I was having no problem making it through some of the levels, then I turned a few of them on that make enemies quicker and makes enemies drop grenades when they die and I died pretty quickly into the level.

I really like the way the combat system works. If you time it right you can parry pretty much any attack with your shield.

The narrator just keeps getting better as I go through the game and I still can't say enough about the soundtrack.

Just finished it. I mainly used the fang repeater and hammer through most of the game. Definitely going to experiment more with weapon combos and totems in New Game+.

Agreed, narration and soundtrack is top notch. I'm not too far in, only about over an hour but so far the game is awesome.

Bought it this morning. It's so, so good.

Love the different combinations of weapons, upgrades, and really enjoy the proving grounds levels.

Just got through New Game+ and got all the achievements. Only other thing to try and do is beat the Proving Grounds with all idols on. Was able to do them with 5 or 6 but not all 8.

I really hope Supergiant Games releases the soundtrack for this game.

just try the demo to see if you like it. It's one of the best games released this year and one of the best on XBLA period. Well worth the $15, and you might as well get The Maw with it for free through the MS Store website.

Took me about 5-6 hours and I didn't upgrade all the weapons which would take me about another hour or so. There is a new game plus mode so you can keep all your weapons and try the game again and by using Idols make the game harder so there is some replay value.

Overall I really enjoyed the game and the music was awesome.

this game rules..so fun..guess I am 3 hours in..got all the shards. I really like the musket and machete combo.

Mortar rocks.

In one of the dream worlds I used the mortar and fast bow and arrow and just demolished through all 20 phases. At one point I had over 8 friendly turrets set up. lol
