Nintendo is the only system which makes must own first party games anymore.

If you own an xbox the only game that everyone I know who owns and xbox actually has is Halo.

So you would be saying that Halo is a "must own" game since "everyone you know with an Xbox has it"? Halo also happens to be a first party game since Microsoft bought out Bungie.

Therefore Nintendo is not the only system that makes "must own" first party games.

Sorry, I didn't realize Microsoft bought out Bungie I just thought they bought the exclusive rights to Halo. But this also proves my point somewhat, it's a big deal when Microsoft has one top flight first party game but Nintendo puts out 3 or 4 top notch first party titles a year.

There are quite a few other MS first part titles that are solid. Mech Assault, PGR, Rallisport and Inside Drive 2003. I don't consider any game a "must own" because we all have different tastes. I know people with an Xbox who have never owned Halo.

In sports alone Microsoft has 3 upcoming sports games that are high up on my list. Links, Top Spin and NBA Inside Drive 20041. Then you have Halo 2 out next year.

Also Sony does have a few first party titles that do well. Though some people do not care for it Gran Turismo is the biggest selling racing game on the market. You have another Syphon Filter coming soon, Twisted Metal Black brought back that series and Dark Cloud 2 and Ico were both great games.
