If you like the games then yes.
Personally I think this $99 deal is pretty much the same as the $149 Cube with a free game. Only here you don't pay for a game.

Oh I agree with that 100% and dont see what the big deal is. I kinda laughed at the price going down to $99.99 as it has technically been that way for months. Most people typically buy a game when they get a console and and Nintendo put some real nice ones (Metroid, Smash Bros and Zelda, etc) offered.

Heck I bought one at Walmart that was a Zelda bundle for $149.99. Had Zelda, the bouns Ocarina disc and included and a GBA/GCN link.

Good point, but most of GC's AAA games have hit the $30 and lower mark, so now you can take a 251 if you don't get zelda first.
Still this is a good move for Nintendo. That $99 price point is the magic number for many parents. If the GBA can sell so well to the kids at this price, so can the gc. This is maybe why nintendo did not build a cd player/dvd player into the system.

Is it worth it? In a word....

                  Absolutely.

Don't have one, but considering it. Nintendo is the only system which makes must own first party games anymore. Which is the only reason to buy a GC. Zelda, Metriod, Mario and most of all the upcoming Mario Kart Double Dash! are all must own games if you have a GC. If you own an xbox the only game that everyone I know who owns and xbox actually has is Halo. With PS2 everyone has the GTA's(which will be out on xbox soon anyway) so GC-exclusive titles are definitely better than any other system. People I know who all say they will probably buy the GC once the new Mario Kart comes out, which may end up being what I do. I'd prefer not to spend the $, but it's not a huge deal so if Mario Kart is as good as the previous 2, I'm sure I'll pick one up, and I think a lot of people are probably in the same boat.

So you would be saying that Halo is a "must own" game since "everyone you know with an Xbox has it"? Halo also happens to be a first party game since Microsoft bought out Bungie.

Therefore Nintendo is not the only system that makes "must own" first party games.
