I think its cool because I think Spartan Ops may be something thats picked up by other games like previous games in the past.

Halo 1 - Gave console shooters a base to work off of for the XBOX/PS2 era.

Halo 2 - Invented the Matchmaking system that has been the base used today in almost every single other Multiplayer game.

Halo 3 - Theater Mode was introduced and again should be standard in almost everything. Has been used since Halo 3. (Yes I know essentially CPU capture cards were first)

Halo 4 - Spartan Ops which is a very cool concept that gives fans of Single player/Co-op a chance to have episodic story driven levels.

Really haven't been able to get into a Halo game since Halo 2, but from what I have seen I am definatly impressed. Graphics look great , they look a huge upgrade for the series. I also like the look of the new enemies, they seem to be interesting. I will defiantly keep my eye on this one, hopefully the campaign/coop stuff is great, since I am not a big competitive multiplayer person.

Well the co-op stuff it suppose to be a episodic story driven co-op missions that release every week. One episode a week with that episode having 5 missions. The first season is free with the purchase of Halo 4 however I don't know how long each season is.

I'm a HUGE Halo fan. In fact, my girl started loving the series & played through every game in the series with me. <3

Halo 4 looks insane. They released some MP footage over on MLG - it looks insane. And that campaign...

I like the direction the series is going. I would have been content with a game similar to Halo: Reach. However, 343 studios is really stepping out of the box and changing the game.

I really want to see some bigger maps with vehicles though.

Most likely will be some BTB maps shown at some point.

I am concerned however that 90% of these vids im seeing show the player using forerunner vision. I hope that theres a nice balance between the powers and not everyone running around with the same thing.

Agreed. Part of me wishes we went to the old way and just had simple powerups you had to find like invisibility and overshield.

I think part of that is players are playing the game for the first time and don't know the maps and the strategies on them. As players learn and maps and common movements and strategies develop for the maps, I think promethean vision's use will decrease as for a good player that knows the common tactics of players and uses their radar well, the ability won't be that useful, or at least other abilities will probably be more useful for them.

From what I've seen, the thruster pack looks like the ability that I'll gravitate to. That quick dash should be very useful.

Yes but I understand why its not that way. Halo needed to change to be on par with the rest of the series of games released now. It be cool if they released a classic Game mode like reach did.

Also with the powers, from what I read there's counter powers for other powers do maybe there's one that shields you from the vision power.

All I know is the Game mode where you collect points then buy weapons reminds me of Counterstrike and Shadowrun. Looks very fun. I'm even more excited to see how they handle forge and evolve it even more.

Yeah it was in one of the MLG vids above, they asked him was there a counter to promethean vision and the 343 guy says, "we're not talking about that right now" and chuckles.

I think the game looks great. As others have said, it seems like they are finally taking a full step forward with the series.

All I know is if I won't be playing as a ****ing Alien for half the game, and not even playing as one of the most badass characters in video game history, I'll be happy.

Graphics look insane. Was always a day one buy for me just because it's Halo, but now I'm excited about it.
