I've been playing in there exclusively. A lot of small, fast paced maps. Most of ones I've played are symmetrical, which I like.

Couple of comments...

I wish 343 would eventually re-do the community maps. They are all a lot of fun, but brutal to look at after awhile. Forge only offers so many color combinations and it would be nice for them to dress them up like a real map.

I must have missed something with weapon skins. Is the battle rifle the only weapon you can have skins on? Is there a website that shows how to unlock the skins? I checked the Halo wiki and was not successful.

There are a lot of YouTube videos on old maps being made in Forge (The Pit, Blood Gulch ect.) Is the only way to play these maps in a custom gametype?

Just saw a tweet that the next TU would be out in February, and the closer it got to being released, the more questions they would answer. If the game introduces a ranking system and file share, this game could be getting a lot more play time for me.

I joined a custom match last night and played for 2 & 1/2 hours on old maps like guardian, The Pit, Lockout, Damnation etc.

It was the most fun I have had with Halo 4 online. If we could get enough interest here, I would definitely host a custom game for us on the old maps.

I don't play much Halo, but I do fire it up on occasion.

I would be down for something like that. The maps have been one of my biggest gripes with Halo 4. I've loved every other Halo game until this one.

I am starting to download old maps now and check them out. The important thing to remember is it isn't going to be the exact same experience because Halo 4 is so different than all of the other games. Also, some maps have framerate issues because they were made in forge.

However, I thought they were a good time and it was nice to relive some of the best maps Halo has had.

Lockout may be my all time favorite Halo map.

So much fun was had on that map back then. My cousins owned a collectibles business that had Halo 2 tournaments in the basement every Saturday..

16 people system linked all sitting in the same room was really fun until some jackass got game host and started making stupid games.

I was able to find the following maps, some are done well and some are okay remakes. I was also able to find a "Classic Slayer" gametype. This has no instant respawn or armor abilities and makes the game more like the old Halo games.

Anyone interested in trying this out tonight? Would be great if we could get 8-12 on! I didn't know how many people we could get, so I did start a thread on that website I posted. Hopefully people will want to play on such short notice.

I've been playing H4 a lot recently. I think the game is one good patch away from greatness, but boy, they are taking their sweet time.
