COD and Halo are entirely different games. I am barely over a 1 K/D on Halo 4 whereas I'm sitting between 2.5 and 3.0 on Battlefield. On the other hand my friend is just over 2 K/D on Halo, but pure garbage in other shooters. It takes a different skillset to play just like any other game.

See I think they nailed it. All of the random weapons all over the map are garbage. Give me the knowledge to know where a specific gun is going to be so I can battle for it. Not get sworded coming around a corner by some scrub because the sword spawned at his feet. Weapons on map are a part of Halo, they never should've went away from it.Comment

Re: Halo 4
Weapons on the map made the MP matches much more intense IMHO. I remember playing Guardian on Halo 3 and having the intense battles for the shotty and Gravity Hammer. If you were on the team that didn't have those weapons, you were screwed. I brought strategy into Halo because in the back of your mind you knew that eventually the power weapons would respawn and your team always made a mad dash for them.
Halo 4 I found boring because everything was handed to you through Ordinance. That and loadouts and it just became another Call of Duty clone.

I disagree with this.

Dont get me wrong, I love Halo and had loads of fun with it but the thing that I always hated the most were Power weapon campers and Team Killers when they dont get the power weapon someone else picked up.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Halo 4
Thing I hated the most is how you wreck people with the BR (Hated this damn gun) and such only for you to get killed by some random dude that can only buy a kill with a Rocket Launcher. (Like in carnage report he is 20-9 but 14 kills with rockets) I have had many maps to where a team would camp in one area (Power weapon spawn) and stay there the whole match. A example would be The Pit with the sword in that damn room.

My thing is I'd rather know where the rockets are going to spawn and when. Rather then having someone get lucky and call in an ordinance drop. To me that takes no skill and it's why no one plays Halo anymore. The game used to take a lot of skill before they started putting all these one shot kill guns in the game, along with the poor map design thats in Halo 4.Comment

See the BR is what made Halo man. As soon as they brought in the DMR the game went downhill. The thing with the BR is that it takes skill and the good players rise to the top and the players who aren't so good, well they die. It needs to be a 4shot kill in order to make the game balanced.

The reason I don't like the BR is for the simple fact I hate weapons that allow you to hit the target without even having the curser on the target. That's what the 3 round spread does and I played swat all the time so it was very annoying.
IMO it would solve everything if they make weapons in the map a random spawn timer instead of a static one. The timer not the area.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Halo 4
To me Halo 1 was my favorite, Halo 2 was good until the flaming pile of glitching/super bouncing that happened and Halo 3 is when I started to hate the game. I'm pretty sure it was the wide open maps that made the BR worse than it actually was.

I think they realized that they messed up with Halo 4. Thats why you're starting to see the steps backwards to give us what we've had before. Keeping it simple is what made Halo a beast in the online gaming world. If I wanted perks and load-outs I would play Battlefield or CoD. What they really need to work fix are the maps though. There are three or four that are decent in Halo 4. Other then that I think we've gotten junk. Whoever is making maps needs to be fired. We're getting The Pit again, for the third time. No excuse for that.Comment

Re: Halo 4
So...the strangest thing just happened in Halo 4. Remember that awful armor ability in Halo Reach where confetti shoots out of your body and children yell when you die?
That just happened in Halo 4...

Re: Halo 4
I started playing this again the other day once I renewed my Live membership. I'm probably going to give this around a 6/10.
The game feels like it was designed with BTB in mind. Majority of the maps are for BTB, two long ranger riffles, the inclusion of sprint, and vehicle rebalancing. And for the most part, BTB is okay.
However, 4v4 is a different story. What works well for BTB doesn't really merge well with the 4v4 settings. They've been different at their core.
The majestic maps do a good job of trying to make these mechanics work in 4v4 settings, but those maps come up so rarely that they don't even matter.Comment
