Just fired this baby back up. As addicting as I remembered. I'm trying to make a mf lightning sorc and don't know what gear to really get.

Anyone here know anything?

I got the digital version in December and started playing but after feeling very overwhelmed I stopped halfway through Act 1. Wouldn't mind playing coop if people could deal with an extremely low-leveled newb like myself.

It just takes time with these kind of games. I know I still dont know a lot of the phrases.

It's a hard game to get through, without help.

The only way I can usually survive far into the game, without putting a hell of a lot of time into it, is to play as a barbarian.. and that's no fun.

I like necromancers and druids, but paladins are also cool.

This is the only game I've ever played, where if I talk about it, I feel like a nerd.

Lol yep know that feeling. My friend and I were just recently talking about Diablo in front of his Girlfriend.
Convo went:
Him: So what lvl you get to?
Me: Like 20 last night, did some trist runs and a little tomb runs.
Him: What char was it?
Me: Trying to make a MF Lightning Sorc so we can get some good gear.
Him: Nice.
Her: *Just staring trying to figure out what we were just talking about* lol
Then it went like lets go play Tennis and some Basketball. Lmao.

Diablo 2 is unlike any game I have ever played. Since it was released in 2000 I have owned three different copies of the game and probably installed it at least a dozen different times on 4/5 different computers. Each summer holiday I create a new character and try and get to Diablo. It is hands down my favorite game ever.

So i've been thinking of FINALLY picking this up. Is there anywhere cheaper to buy it than in the stores, where the battlechest is still $30? I'm kind of blown away that for a game that came out so long ago, they still want so much for it. I assume the battlechest is the way to go as well, as I hear the expansion pack is a big reason why the game is so good.

I loved Diablo 2. I played for hours and hours and hours.

I would set an alarm to get up at 3am or whatever for peak MF hours.

But then came the new patch... the game just was not fun anymore.

Ruined most people's builds and how they went on MF runs. So my accounts with over 80 SOJs and crazy gear, have never been used since.

i thought the original was better but because of the stronger items in the expansion bliz made the monsters harder so the original is unplayable now. So yes get the battlechest
