    Joe Danger: The Movie

Hello Games unveils Joe Danger sequel

UK indie developer Hello Games has unveiled the sequel to last year's cute PlayStation 3 stunt bike platform game Joe Danger.

Going by the working title of Joe Danger: The Movie, the new game is targeting multiple formats and will be playable at gamescom in Germany next week.
"It's kind of a sequel to Joe Danger, but it's also something entirely new," Hello Games boss Sean Murray told Eurogamer this week.

"I guess I would say that the entire gameplay experience of Joe Danger on PSN would be just one short scene in this new game.

"We've kind of gone a bit crazy in terms of ideas and scope, or at least I really hope we have. If you liked Joe Danger, then I think it's going to rock your world. Even if you didn't like it though, this is different enough that we might just win you over. That's the idea, but like I say, no one has seen it yet!"

Joe has become a success by the end of the first game. The Movie starts with him becoming a Hollywood stuntman. "Picture every film you've ever loved as a kid, from Labyrinth to Karate Kid to Robocop, all cut together into some crazy montage, and that's basically the script for our game," added Murray.
"We're not able to talk about platforms yet, but I reckon we will reach a much larger audience than PSN this time. That's the plan," he said.

"Fingers crossed we'll also have other platforms/versions on show at gamescom, some that will be a bit of a surprise."

Good to hear. I think this one will definitely win me over. The first game was good, but I don't really think there was enough diversity to justify playing for all of the collectibles. Plus, I know they can only go up with it (like Trials HD, I suppose). As long as they keep it under $20, Sign me up.

    Thanks again, Flawless!

Couldn't find the topic for the original...

The PlayStation Network exclusive was released last year to strong reviews , but the exclusivity kept it from ever growing to the absurd popularity it deserved. According the the Korean Ratings Board, that may be changing very soon.

According to the listing, the game is to be released for the Xbox Live Arcade at some point in the future, with Microsoft Korea listed as the publisher. Though the XBLA version hasn't actually confirmed by the developer it makes sense that they would port their game over to Microsoft's console.
