    And So It Begins...

Seriously, I just should apologize now to my wallet. Deux Ex started this, but it just gets excessive from here on out.

    Madden and Bodycount on Tuesday.

But then the following week: Resistance 3, Star Fox 3DS, Warhammer, Driver:SF, Dead Island and Disgaea 4. And this is just September...

    Too many limes, err, games.

I remember the times like this. I'd buy games that I wouldn't open for weeks haha.

It took some getting used too (And a wife and kids) but I finally was able to break the urge to have to buy every great game coming out during the fall rush.

Although Batman AC and Metal Gear HD will both be day one purchases.

Those should tide me over for the rest of the year.

Also, Steam just got me for another $7.49 for putting out the Borderlands: GOTY pack. Bastards.

I don't think you should waste your money on Bodycount though, have you tried the demo?

The simple solution to your problem is don't buy games on release day; wait a month or two after they come out, and they will drop to $30-$40.

As a plus, the game will probably have a patch or two out by then.

For unsuccessful games and some good ones, but not the top of the line ones.

                    Re: And So It Begins...

This thread needs to somehow be attached to the "Do You Finish Your Video Games" thread. I'm curious to see who's buying what finishes what...

As for me, I'm not sure I am going spend $60 on a game the next couple of months. I want 2K12 badly, but I may have to wait for the price to drop (no, the PC version is not an option).
                    My Specs:

                    ZX Spectrum
                    CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
                    GPU: Monochrome display
                    RAM: 48 KB
                    OS: Sinclair BASIC

I feel like a lot of the games I'm looking at won't be dropping in price anytime soon.

Chase, any chance you receive free games somehow? I mean, I understand that you go to events and write previews. If that's the way it is, I can't blame you for getting every game you want. I wish I could do that.

That's the reasoning I live buy now. Get it later, cheap, and patched.

There is just way too much coming out, especially in September that I had to really scale back.
