May have to pick this up today. I was going to hold off because of BF3 and Elder Scrolls but since I passed on SC Trilogy I may jump.
Glad you asked... I saw it running in 3D today in a store on display.

I am not trying to oversell or anything, I get nothing out of it... but let me tell you... if there was ANY game in the world to PROVE that 3D gaming can NOT be a gimmick... it is Shadow of the Colossus.

I was just FLOORED with all the settings cranked up. Nothing was "cardboard" or "flat". Everything just felt right, and was "rounded" and had a true sense of depth. I do not think reviewers on sites touched on this enough.

I tried a bunch of games in 3D since they started it... and while most felt cool, it wasn't "needed" to be played in. After playing this on display, I feel like I MUST get a 3D set now. And only play this collection in 3D. I feel like I am now missing out playing it on my gorgeous PC monitor.

And most of it has probably got to do with not just for the fact it was done how it should be done, but also the games capture such a feeling of sucking you in already, that this takes them to a whole new level.

Seeing the vast landscapes and it had a true sense of depth to them. And jumping on the Colossi was a sight to behold. I am astonished to say the least.

Now to save my pennies for a 3D set!!! Or just get the $500 Sony 24" if the reviews are good.

I was lucky as well, went to Best Buy at noon yesterday, did not see it. The games manager came walking over with a copy in his hand and asked, "can I help you find anything", I said, "yeah, the game your holding please". He was just getting them ready to go on the floor!

I have to say I'm kind of floored at how good these look, they don't quite look like a modern game but they definitely don't look like a PS2 game, and an early PS2 game at that in the case of Ico.

Yeah i seen one review that said the 3D , especially for the Colossus , was pretty amazing.
I really love gaming in 3D so this may be picked up while I'm out this evening.

              Sounds good, guys.

Question: Do the games have any bonus content, or it's the same game as the PS2 version?
              My Specs:

              ZX Spectrum
              CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
              GPU: Monochrome display
              RAM: 48 KB
              OS: Sinclair BASIC

The ICO game is the Europe/Japan version that came out a bit later, so they had better architecture on some things, added "puzzles" and different things through second play-through, etc. Without spoiling anything. It is the more "refined" version.

And they improved the graphics some obviously, like make the fur move on the colossi, etc.

Amazing isn't the word to describe this collection.

OK, thanks for the reply. I miss playing SOTC again (never played Ico, though).

Re: Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection (PS3)

So I'm planning on buying this collection but I can't decide whether to get it physically or thru PSN.

Does the disc-based version have special features (like making of features, etc.) that the PSN version lacks or are they both the same content-wise? I'm really leaning towards digital downloads with these collections to avoid the inevitable "What am I going to do with all these games" once next-gen hits. Plus, no backward compatibility headaches either.
