    GTA

Was wondering if anyone has heard any news on the next GTA. I can't rememebr where I heard it but Las Vegas is rumored to be the next location. Wouldn't bet the farm on it but was curious if anyone had heard any concrete news.

This was long ago but I had heard that there were thoughts of making a GTA: London or another back in time version but this time in the 1960s with an Austin Powers vibe to it.

A 60's or 70's theme would be pretty funny. That or an early 90's theme would be pretty sweet.

Vegas was mentioned but it looks more like a town in California... San Andreas to be exact...

People are thinking this because Rockstar bought up a bunch of URLS with San Andreas, so it could be a San Fran theme. Of course this is just speculation as is it being set in the 70's.

Rockstar has said the game will come out (PS2 exclusive at launch) in 2004...

Brent, you are right. If you look at GTA one, there are three locales, Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas in California. Based on that, my thought was that the next one would be San Andreas (California). Now whether that's SF or LA is beyond me. As for the time period, who knows.

I have an Xbox, so I'm just excited for the double pack to come out in a few weeks.

I'm hoping for the 70s. My only reason is that the music should be better. I'm a big fan of 70s music. I cant stand that 80s crap in Vice City. Some yes, but alot of it stinks.
