I am stuck, just flat out stuck, near the end of the game where I must break the chain. Problem is, I don't have the Celestus gauntlets to do that. In fact I must have been able to progress in the game without ever seeing those things. I only found out about them because I was googling about a way to break the blue onyx crystals that are also at this stage. So .... I'm not big on cheating, but I don't want to start the game over. How can I just go ahead and 'power up' everything (and get all the things I need at this point in the game) so that I can finish this game out? I've played most of the game so it's not like I'd be missing out on much. Are there any cheat codes I can enter when turning on the game to help me here?

I do not know how you don't have the Gauntlets.

I must have just zipped through the game because when I checked my weapons selection and there are lots of (?) items that I have not found. Maybe I need to go back and play this game again, though the one part I really hated was at the beginning of the judges section where you get locked in the cage with the seemingly never ending waves of creatures.Comment

I had to laugh at your comment, Xavier. I'm a 39 year old 'man' and a father of a five year old son. Sometimes we daddies just don't have the time to replay a game (actually God of War 3 is disappointingly small) like we did in our younger days. Your point is well taken, though. Maybe having a large flat-panel tv this time around will help things.

It is puzzling to me. I've been gaming since the late 1970's (am I THAT old? LOL!!!!) and I can not remember having ever managed to zip through an RPG game, and not noticing a room or failing to pick up an object that had the type of negative effect that I saw in this game. Anyway, I have started over, and after two nights of promising my wife "I promise I'll be in bed earlier", with her eyes rolling, here I am .... in the final fight with Zeus on NORMAL mode and everything maxed out. I did have to use the walk-through over at http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/943928-g...iii/faqs/59367 so thanks Jm0ney2001 Zeus is very difficult to beat and I look forward to playing the other modes in the game or even going through the game in super-god mode.

It's going to take me a long time to be able to finish off this game. Part of the difficulty for me is knowing that if I get killed while fighting Zeus I'm not going to go back to the last cut scene, the fight completely starts over.
I'm wondering what purpose Hermes boots serve after beating the game and playing with them again? Can you use them throughout the whole game?Comment
