    Re: NES/SNES Gaming Thread

I lucked out again today and found a garage sale. This old couple had NES and PS1 games for $2 a piece. I had $20 on me, so ended up with...

    NES Games:
TMNT1 (already own, but the cart was so clean I couldn't resist)
Ikari Warriors 2 (very underrated sequel)
    Star Soldier
    Star Tropics
    Zoda's Revenge (Star Tropics 2)

    and for PS1:
Res. Evil DC, RE 2, RE 3
Tomb Raider, TR 2, TR 3, TR the Last Revelation
    GTA2
    Tony Hawk

Not a bad deal I'd say

Thanks - I'd heard about it, but forgot.

Also - nice buy on those games. I wish we had more garage sales around here with that kind of stuff.

Yeah, it's one of the nice things about living in South Dakota. People here collect John Deere and stuff like that, so the retro gaming area is definitely untapped lol.

BTW, Pat's stream starts at 2 central I believe.

I was just playing Ninja Gaiden and got to 6-4, the boss, for I think the first time ever. Sadly I forgot when you die you get sent back to 6-1.

            Time for a good cry...

Oh man that's too bad. And how long does it take to get back to 6-4? like an hour?

              They were ruthless back then.

I can get to level 6-1 in under an hour, which is good considering I would spend all day getting this far when I was a kid. 6-1 can give me some trouble, and 6-2 always takes me at least 20 minutes, sometimes an hour to beat.

I'm getting pretty skilled at the game, but it's so discouraging working all the way to to the end only to get sent back to the toughest part of the game.

As soon as I got my playstation phone, that's all I play on it are my fave nintendo/snes games. I play a lot of punch out, cobra triangle, jackal for nes.

snes: metroid, super punch out, Street Fighter 2, mortal kombat, killer instinct, sunset riders and final fight.

I love, Love, LOVE, Sunset Riders lol. I remember the Genesis version was way different from the arcade, but the SNES was a much more true to the original.

I never could stand either of the console ports of Sunset Riders. Especially since we had an arcade in Nashville with the 4-player version.

SNES version was the better of the two, if I had to play one.
