    Re: Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

This game isn't for me. I only played the demo for 10-15 minutes. The Bumblebee board just seemed boring. It appears you will have constant new missions/checkpoints to follow and you just follow the linear path. The area itself was restrictive and the tight confines didn't seem very fun.

The controls when driving and flying were odd. I'd rather have all of the controls for movement mapped to the l-stick but the r-stick is needed for both driving and flying (Vortex board). Nothing overly innovative or interesting for me. It was more interesting when I could change between car and robot form later on as Bumblebee but the game seemed to decide when I should do that rather than me.

I briefly played the Vortex board. Again, not a huge fan of the controls for flying. Just chasing after the light blue mission indicator spot. I couldn't figure out where to go at one point and quit.

I'm sure Transformers fans my enjoy the game but there just wasn't anything in the demo that seemed unique or particularly interesting to me. Again, these are very brief impressions and I probably won't bother with the demo again other than to goof around with my son who wants to see it.

      Re: Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

Played through the two single players levels and a little bit of multiplayer. Single player was pretty fun, particularly the Vortex level. Bumblebee level was a little bit restrictive, but it seems like it was the opening level/tutorial level so that is somewhat understandable. Multi-player is fun, seems a little too mindless for my liking though.

Overall I like the demo, but I am not sure if I like it enough to pick the game up at full price. May wait for a price drop, since I have never been a huge Transformers fan.

Liked it. Liked War for Cybertron as well, so I expect to like this one even more. The Decepticon level was much better than the Autobot level imo.

Going to wait for a price drop, but I think this video does a better job of showcasing the improvements over War for Cybertron than the demo.

I play the demo every day! Big fan of WfC either! Since friday you can level up to 8, with new weapons and perks! Will play it competitive when it hits the streets! Great demo imo, can`t wait for more later this month!

I played the demo a little bit. The graphics on the PS3 were certainly much more underwhelming than any videos would suggest, and the vehicle controls are a tragedy waiting to happen.

Not a big fan of Cybertronian gaming anyway, it seems. I can easily pass on this title, even if it's quality.

                    Re: Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

It's past ridiculous at this point that PS3 is still seeing shoddy ports.

                    Gamespot

It's a shame that the PlayStation 3 version struggles to keep up with that excess. At times, Fall of Cybertron is a technical mess on Sony's console: square pixels sometimes erupt where there should be sparks, loading times occur in the middle of the action, and the game may even lock up and require you to restart the system. The resolution is noticeably lower than on the Xbox 360, and textures are so blurry that you could momentarily wonder if a higher-res texture has yet to pop in. The frame rate isn't perfectly steady on the Xbox 360, but it keeps pace better than the PS3 version, which chugs more frequently.
                    Cap of those pixels:

I bought the PS3 version and the code that comes with the game to get 5 episodes of the transformers is not working. I have tried it numerous times and get the invalid message each time. Anyone else having issues? Thanks.

The achievements look like a grind again.

I enjoyed the single player a lot. I liked War for Cybertron a lot as well and this one only made things better. Only complaint I really have really is that the Decepticon portions were a little too short imo.

yeah tracer its far more shorter compared to the first one and its a bit disappointing but it was a fun ride and I hope they do another one where they continue the battle on earth.
