Dead Rising 2: Off The Record

I can't believe nobody has posted about this, went into Dead Rising 2 and saw the last post 10-11 the only one being about Off the Record which features Frank West.

If anyone wants to play on PS3 with me my ID is patriotjames! Prefer if you had a head set. Hopefully it's as fun as the original.

I picked it up for 360 on sale online. Haven't had a chance to play it yet and never played Dead Rising 2, so I figured I'd get it with Frank West.

I never got to play Dead Rising the original and loved Dead Rising 2. Sometimes owning only a PS3 isn't the greatest thing.

Cool. How are you liking this one so far? I was reading it's better than DR2 since they fixed many of the issues, is that true?

Well I just read a review of someone that didn't like it apparently since they shelled out 40 bucks for essentially downloaded content of a "the same game but with Frank West". Game Informer loved it though and I usually side with them.

Right when I started, the captions were off from the talking. I got to my first save point and it froze. I noticed the installation from a small download of version 1.01 took forever so I think it may have installed wrong otherwise this game may need a patch NOW.

I'm going to retry. I'll keep everyone updated.

EDIT 2: Nevermind my first edit. Only 26 MB. Took waaaay too long to install, hopefully it just didn't download correctly the first time.

Yeah it was just a mess up of sorts. Everything seems to be working right the 2nd time around... odd.

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record DLC confirmed

Capcom’s confirmed that it will augment Dead Rising 2: Off the Record hero Frank West with a Cyborg Skills Pack next week.

The DLC, as you might have already twigged, turns West into a cyborg, giving him increased melee damage, electric damage to all his regular attacks, as well as increasing the potency of all electrical appliance damage.

Gamers will be able to download the content via PlayStation Network on October 26, though PC and Xbox 360 owners can snap it up slightly earlier on October 25. It’ll cost £1.59/160 Microsoft Points.

It would be nice if DLC worked for this game from Dead Rising 2 as its essentially the same game just with a new character.
