Re: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii)

I thought it was out with the reviews I read in here. :o

Zelda is a series that I just love. I don't play too much outside of sports games, but this is a series that I HAVE to play. I'd say, yes, it's my favorite of all time. I feel like I have a connection with this series. It's been around longer then I have!

I went a head and ordered the bundle, for some reason the gold wimote was calling my name

On a somewhat related note my Wii arrived today. I have never even seen the system in action before. Fired up for Friday to play Zelda and play some other classics I have missed.

I ordered the bundle too just the WM+ adapter feels weird, the wiimote is just too long with it on it, even though it is only an inch and a half longer. So I ordered the bundle so I'd have a regular size wiimote with the WM+ built in.

Just got my copy. Need this day at work to end so I can get after it tonight. Skyrim is going to have to take a back seat for a bit.

Pissed, wanted to get the bundle but the GF said she had it covered as a Christmas gift and forgot to preorder. BOO.

Has this game released yet? I feel there is a major lack of posts in this thread.

For those that have the game, do you think an 8-year-old would be able to play this?
In some reviews it sounds pretty complex and geared more towards adults.

I don't think so. The controls were a little simplified since the last one but there are a lot of puzzles.

Personally, I think if you have the wii and like puzzle-oriented games then this game is a no-brainer. The last one was one of the best games I've ever played and this one is shaping up to be even better.

BTW, the graphics are much improved. Backgrounds have been smoothed out a ton.

I want to beat this game, but I have a hard time playing it because its just so ugly compared to current PC and "other console" games. Overall, I'm really enjoying the game.

I've found that with the Wii, the graphics are usually more creative than the HD consoles. They aren't as "vivid" or clear, but Nintendo knows how to develop an awesome palette with a very limited field.
