Re: Games That You'd Love To See Made

Shadowbane 2 - PvP haven for MMO players

KOTOR 3 (made by Bethesda. Either that or have Bioware enter the realm of a sandbox rpg). KOTOR 3 itself would be great, but it would blow away everything if it were a sandbox like Skyrim.

Then I started thinking and my list got kind of long:

    NCAA Football 2k...
    College Hoops 2k...
    NCAA baseball ...

New Barbarian League Football (I think that's what it was called. Old game on the Sega with barbarian players. You could literally kill players on the other team and they had to play a man down).

Updated version of The Third World War (Old Sega CD game...geo political simulator/military strategy game.)

    New Legend of Gaia
    New Earthbound
Re-release Shenmue 1 and 2 on new consoles and their sequels that never happened.
Re-Release the Xenosaga saga series and finish the story how it was supposed to be (ie: make all 5 or however many games there were supposed to be)

Need For Speed Most Wanted/Forza/Tokyo Extreme Racer hybrid - Basically an open world like Need for Speed where you can get into cop chases and just drive around, able to flash your lights at other cars to set up street races like in Tokyo Extreme, but have it a simulation style game that gives you all the car and tuning options of Forza as well as access to sanctioned circuits.

Re: Games That You'd Love To See Made

I'd love to see a good Superman game. Maybe it will happen when the new movie is released, but I actually prefer it not to be attached to any specific movie. Just to have a great game, and if they insist on basing it on a movie, I'd prefer Christopher Reeve to be the virtual character.

But more important is that the game is good and innovative, maybe create a whole new experience for the super-hero genre. I still think that there's more that can be done to recreate the feel of flying. Maybe even combine 1st and 3rd person perspective...

Superman video games always seem generic to me. Hope that it changes...

Oh boy, a universal pro sports game.

          NBA/NCAA 13
          MLB/NCAA 13
          NHL/NCAA
          NFL/NCAA
          - Play both your games on one disc. No more creating draft classes, no more exporting classes. Everything plays the same, everything looks the same. They could do so much with this. Start your career as a freshman in high school and work your way all the way up. Freshman year to high school til your 38 and retiring. I would pay big money for a game system set up like this! I've been dreaming about this for years, but it will probably ever happen for a while, if ever.

Re: Games That You'd Love To See Made

Top of my list has to be a new college hoops game, preferably released by 2K. I'd also like to see a new NFL 2K game--I just never see Madden getting "it." NCAA suffers from the same mind-lag.

For PC, though, my top two dream games for the last few years have been another Rollercoaster Tycoon game (in the vein of the first two with slick modern, detailed graphics), and another Sim City (a true sequel to SC4).

I have no doubt that neither of those games will ever be made, but for what reason I honestly cannot imagine. Those are two highly successful IPs and a new game with either title would absolutely rake in the cash (and we can only hope it is done right).

There were some rumblings at Atari about another RCT game (see here: http://forums.atari.com/showthread.php?t=9152), but thus far no "official" news. I'll probably wait for those games until I'm dead, but for that reason alone I've always wondered about getting into game design/marketing/consulting. If I could do it myself I need not wait for others to do it for me!

I'd also like to see some more interesting online games, such as games utilizing certain IP properly (i.e. Jurassic Park that is not what it was made to be), or an MMORPG Star Trek game that really does things right starting from the ground up (I never played STO but I didn't hear good things).

Aside from those, though, there are just so many possible open-world/MMORPG game ideas that haven't even been explored yet. I find those to be the games that consume most of my time. I'd actually really like to see a sports game go in this direction and see how much "real life" they can put in outside of the stadium.

That's a brilliant idea, but I feel like the gameplay would get stale after so long. I partly like separate games because I think they play differently, so it spices things up a bit, but I can definitely see the benefits of two games in one.

Re: Games That You'd Love To See Made

-A mega man game that explains what happened to the original characters. I'd be more interested in the story then the actual game.

-A Kingdom Heart game that features only Nintendo Worlds, plus Sonic.
I remember when I think EGM had did that fake april fools issue about that, I got so excited...then so depressed. This game would be a must buy for me, even more then most Kingdom Hearts games. I'd still want Mickey, Donald, and Goofy to keep some type of role in the game. I mean can you imagine Sora, Mario and Luigi? or Sora paired with Samus?
              Win

-A real time Pokemon game. I get tired of always doing turn based, I want to do something like the Tv show where you can move around, combine moves, and use one attack to defend or nullify another (like using flamethrower vs razor leaf). It would also make some typically unused attacks like leer and flash more effective.
In this game I also want the entire move pool or at least more then 4 available, just only 4 to be used in a battle.

-A 3d console Mario game not based off of hub worlds. A classic group of environments like an ice, fire, grass, etc (think like Paper Mario's worlds). Not neccessarily an open world, just kind of like a zelda game. I'd actually be pretty happy if they just made a 3D open world of Paper mario, just with a diffferent story and supporting characters.

-Last but definitely not least, I'd like to see Paper Luigi. I love Luigi and the paper mario series. (Favorite series all time, tied with KH.)

I'd love HD remakes of Out of this World and Flashback, with the visual flair of the new Rayman game.

I'd also love for them to bring back the Colony Wars series.

I never could get into the German U-Boats.
                      5 was a complete travesty.
I still have my very seldom used copy. Pretty bad for a company like Ubi...but Cliffs of Dover disappointed me as well.(I realize this is Maddox) Making games for the masses is dragging down the gaming industry IMO. But I understand the suits thinking behind it.

A remake/sequel of Star Wars: Rogue Squadron would be sick. Especially with some online multiplayer.
