Picked this game up last week, probably around 3 hours into it, and its been great. The gameplay and graphics are great, but I cant count how many times clickers have scared me, as well as the random pop ups of runners.

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
SpoilerIn the suburbs where the sniper is firing at you from a distance and there are 3-4 guys milling around right in front of him. I just sat there for about 5 minutes trying to figure out what the hell I was going to do after dying a couple times. Then I just turned the game off because it was at the end of a long session and I was fried at that point. That last part of the sewer was intense! I probably got killed about 10 times before finally being able to fend off those last couple clickers.Comment

Just hit 70% completed and got to the...
SpoilerCollege. Picked up a flame thrower and something tells me I'll be using it soon. I was surprised at how summer ended, I thought for sure it was just going to be a parting of ways between Joel and Ellie, and Henry and Sam.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
Ended up getting to the end. I've been sitting here for 10 minutes reflecting and looking at everyone's feelings about the end.
By the end, I was an efficient killing machine. I didn't even get touched inSpoilerSalt Lake City - the underground tunnel or the hospital. In that second wave of infected in the tunnel, I camped out on the right behind the barricade, threw a bottle into the center and had a Molotov party. I literally evil laughed as they all burned.
As for the end:
SpoilerI was a bit conflicted the way Joel lied at the very end. After all that she had been through, could she ever really have a normal life? She seemed to get progressively more depressed as the game went on and even seemed hesitant to want to go with Joel into the final city. But at the same time would they really have found a cure by taking out her brain? I don't know. Once it was clear the way it was going, I let out another evil laugh when he said "you'll just come after her" and blasted that woman in the face.Comment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
Just completed the game.
20 hours 48 minutes on normal.
I loved the story.
I loved the characters.
I wish it was a bit more "open ended" in the sense that although it was multiple possible paths...the journey was always really a straight line.
I also wish the save game aspect was better....not saving to a point at the beginning of a level or checkpoint...but actually where I was.
I had a blast playing it and it was definitely an emotional game.
9 or 9.5 out of 10.

On several occasions after dying, the game would load me up in a place where I would have NO IDEA where I was. Especially during...
SpoilerThe blizzard scene where Joel is searching for Ellie.
I'd die and be like, "Where...the ****...am I? I never entered this room."
So for me, it was actually easier to exit the game and manually re-load the chapter. I had to do this in several instances.
Honestly, this would probably be one of my only actually genuine complaints about the game.Last edited by Heroesandvillains; 07-19-2013, 10:27 AM.Comment
