Physical disc vs DL
Is there any advantage over downloading full games and having a phhsical disc?Because I live in van down by the river...Tags: None -
Re: Physical disc vs DL
Other than not worrying about having to input disk I'd say no. That is no UNTIL downloadable games offer more of a savings.
I prefer the disk and can't see ever getting away from them.Last edited by Skyboxer; 01-30-2012, 12:33 PM.Joshua:

Re: Physical disc vs DL
There are pros and cons to both. You just have to decide what works for you.
I like some of my games DL. This way I dont have to switch disc, just select and play.
Now for someone who likes to trade games in that sucks, also when you want to wait and buy a game used you will need a disc. You can't buy used DL games lol.
In the end you need disc over DL, but it is nice having both as a option.Simply *Magic* Just click the link and Watch :)

Re: Physical disc vs DL
I prefer disc, in that I like having something tangible for my sixty bucks LOL.
Also, I turn 45 tomorrow. I'm old and forgetful, and I'm much more likely to play a game that is in it's case sitting next to my 360 rather than one that's DL'd on my drive...somewhere...in the rat-maze mess that we now call the Dashboard (yeah, HATED the last dash update, can you tell?).GO 'HAWKS!

Re: Physical disc vs DL
As of these crappy new cases I've had 2 games get cracks in the center. (They still work perfectly fine but still it's not a good thing.) Don't have to worry about that with PC games. When it comes to consoles disc games are cheaper after a while. $5-$20 more on XBL Games on Demand. Plus the biggest hard drive is 250 gigs. I've got about 8 left on my 120.Comment

Re: Physical disc vs DL
I prefer downloadable. Less room occupied by cases collecting dust and don't have to worry about scratches.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Physical disc vs DL
Me too...On PC I can control how much space I have, but on console you're limited...if I got downloads of every game I wanted I'd eventually fill up my system and be unable to expand. Hopefully the next gen handles hard drives in a better way (easier to add on space, not as expensive).Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
