Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
I swear I am playing a different game than most of you. I absolutely love this game so far, and I haven't even touched the campaign. I have had one bad game with lag, and other games have had intermittent bits of lags, but nothing too major. There isn't one map I don't like, the only thing I wish about the maps is that there was another snow map (although I guess there probably isn't anything involving winter/snow in the campaign, so that would be why they omitted it).
As of right now, the only game that I have higher this year for GoTY is XCOM, because that is the best game I have played since Fallout 3.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
Same here when I play the game nothing about it makes me feel like continuing to play. Like someone mentioned here the campaign is nice.
I really liked how they added pretty much every game mode in combat training. It doesn't play it perfectly but its a cool option.
I'm laying low right now I want to see what happens with this game in a couple of weeks when the novelty wears off, and its the same ole stuff happening.
I really hope my click jumps back to a older versions of COD.I already have some saying they might trade it in. Keeping my fingers crossed.
A few changes I make to my custom bot games:
*4 v 4 (I feel that these maps are made for 4 v 4 and I felt the same about MW3)
*I reduce health to 30% with no regeneration similar to hardcore
*Friendly fire on
*Weapon classes, I prefer barebones (no attachments or perks; strictly primary, secondary pistol or knife, equipment (grenade, betty, claymore, etc), and tactical (smoke, concussion, etc)
*No scorestreaks (I told you I prefer my games barebones)
This is how I am enjoying BO's 2 and I hope they can patch in Search and Destroy for Bot mode soon.Comment

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
I am enjoying the game much more now that I have figured out the maps and adjusted my timing for the lag/netcode.
After putting in a full 55 levels and 20 hours or so, I have ground out a TDM K/D of 2.47.
Here are the problems I would love addressed asap:
1. Fix the spawns. If you can't see that the spawns are badly broken, you aren't paying attention or simply aren't good enough to see it. The spawning system as it stands is absolutely atrocious and by far the worst the series has ever seen.
2. Nerf the pistols
3. Nerf the snipers from a run and gun standpoint
4. Continue working on the lag/netcode
Scorestreaks, Pick 10, etc have been excellent ideas. They have a good game here that can be patched to be a great game.Comment

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
I think with the lag problems being addressed it seems on the ps3 and with my continued progress as a CoD player, I'm not nearly as frustrated as I was a couple days ago. My K/D ratio is finally getting near 1.0 in team deathmatch and I'm starting to get the hang of things. So I figured I'd share with you some of the things I've been doing to improve my game. This is geared towards players who are struggling, who knows maybe it will help some vets.
1. Use the Map: This is the single most important tip anyone can give you and at first it can be daunting. I remember my first couple times on hijacked I'd panic when moving or out in the open and never checked my map. However keeping tabs on the map from time to time especially when you know you are covered or safe allows you to gain a sense of the battlefield.
2. Move with purpose: Try moving to an exact location. Find hot zones for yourself on the map which you feel comfortable with and you can branch from.
3. Cover yourself, don't rely on teammates: Use bouncing betties, shock grenades, claymores, etc. to set traps for your enemies if they try to sneak up on you. This is also a great way to defend hardpoint locations as you can neutralize enemies and take them out. And even get assists from your teammates.
4. Don't beat yourself up: If you just went 4 and 15, jump right back in, things can only get better, and who cares if you get verbal jabs thrown at you from peeps in the waiting room afterwards or friends. Half the fun is making progress in this game.
5. Fire following your reaction: Don't second guess shots or try to line up the perfect shot. By that time your opponent will have spotted you and you'll be respawning. Put shots on your opponent and aim for his widest target, the chest.
6. Forget about K/D ratio, just focus on getting better and having fun
Those are just a few tips, again probably a lot of people already use these strategies, but these are for anyone struggling like I had been.Comment

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
They need to nerf the sniper rifles. I've never been decent at sniping in any CoD title until this one. I'm a run and gunner and shouldn't be doing this week with a sniper rifle.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
2 primary weapons wild card is just AWESOME. Assault and a sniper rifle or shotgun at the same time equal prepared for anything. Sniper rifles eventually will get nerf, they nerf it every year after a month. What they need to nerf is that damn microwave weapon, it's range is just to big of an area.Comment

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
I had that happened to me twice so far playing domination. They literally had all 3 flags on lock with those microwaves. And in another game, this team set it up in all the spawn areas, so as soon you spawned you were screwed.Comment

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
Ok I don't know why the heck I'm doing so bad at the 360 version of this game.
On the PS3 version I go every match with a 2.0 K/D or higher. I straight up destroy the other team. I go back to the 360 and it's like I've never played Call of Duty before.
The lag for me was no existent on the PS3, I hop onto the 360 and it's a lag fest once again. Shooting people first, they don't die over and over.
I think I may just stay on the PS3 seeing as for some strange reason, I'm horrible at the 360 version.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo
