So I had been playing with my connection preferences set to best for a while, and had felt at a disadvantage ever since. Been having some awful games the past few days. Well, I switched it back to normal for preferences, and had a great morning for me playing kill confirmed. A lot of positive games finally. I haven't felt like my connection is a step behind. When I get a jump on someone, I actually feel confident that I'll get the kill. I think there is definitely something to the lag comp. Not using it as an excuse, as I know I'm not that great at the game, but I feel that I'm on a level playing field with my search preferences back to normal.

Oh, and kill confirmed is pretty much all I'll play now. Never realized how much fun it is. I've racked up some crazy score streaks that I usually can't get in other modes thanks to collecting tags or denying kills.

I said the exact same thing. The "best" preferences actually made me worse and it wasn't even close.

This game is definitely lag compensated alright.

I spend my weekends at my parents place while I work and they have 50 MB down and 2 MB up and had many times where I couldn't kill anyone at all.

I spend my weekdays at my grandparents place while I'm at school and they only have 20 MB down and .5 MB up and all my bullets were registering like I was playing at a LAN party. Perfect hit detection.

I hope they fix it, after a few patches it wasn't too bad in MW3.

The thing is I've had a 2.0 K/D or higher on pretty much every CoD I've played on the 360 up until now. It's like I forgot how to play CoD on the 360

I'm having a helluva time trying to get a game in on the 360. Just can't get into a match. Fired up Halo 4 and played online just fine. Seems to be something with COD.

I've been getting a lot of Lobby closing errors

Yeah, I was on the fence and bought it on the release day about 5pm and got a PS3 copy with the Nuketown 2025

Yeah same here (360).. The Gamestop guy was like, "Hey man, I hooked you UP with a Nuketown copy man!" It was pretty funny. Pretty sure they All had the codes, but I'm not complaining. Loving me some Hardpoint and Kill confirmed at the moment. My K/D is probably pathetic, but I'm having a good time. Some weird Kill Cam moments going on, but it's release week so I'm not gonna get my panties in a whirl.

I think people will find more fun with kc, dom, hp because the mode isnt dead. Tdm is just head glitch city for campers now. I think 3arch killed tdm in terms of competitiveness. Fun? Sometimes, but now how it use to be. Ill run it with a party but the map layouts and barrels/boxes/stairs near every corner or corridor is just silly.

Its not a shot at campers. I understand playing your strengths, but the maps are just set to eliminate actual firefights in tdm.

One more thing....Aftermath is the worst COD map I've ever played!

I think the reason so many people scream camper in this game, is because of how sketchy the hit detection can be at times. If someone is laying prone in a doorway, it's hard to check your corners when enterting the room and still have a good shot at dropping the person before they shoot you.

It's just the way the game is played and why I primarily stay away from TDM. For the record, I don't get mad when people stake out a room. Hell, I usually patrol certain areas on a map, rather than running around like a mad man.

I'm by no means great at this game, but I killed a guy three times in a row because he kept spawning close by and coming after me and I knew he was coming. After the game, I got called a "camping bitch" by some kid who hasn't even hit puberty yet.. lol.

Man, the freezing is the only thing discouraging me with this game. Second time today it's frozen at the Awaiting Textures spot on the loading bar trying to get into a game.

Yeah I thought it would be one of the better maps but right off the bat I hated it.
