Judging from the gameplay video, this looks similar to MW3, which I played about 5 minutes of before getting bored. Is there anything to differentiate it from MW3? Honestly Zombies is the only part of this game that has me at all interested in it. If anyone has played both maybe we can get some honest critique and comparisons.

The multiplayer will be better than MW3 for sure. MW3 was one of the biggest fails in Call of Duty history.

I seriously need a change from MW3. I get annoyed when I play it, I know there are gamey tactics in every game but the C4 spam, no recoil guns, etc. I'm ready for a change, I'm really hoping Black Ops 2 is a leap forward, it'd be nice to actually enjoy the game I'm playing rather than only playing to have conversations with my friends.

According to what I am hearing through the MLG wire that recoil in guns are definitely there.

It will depend on the gun of course. I have played it and am very impressed with how the game plays.

Only 7 days remain before the midnight release of Blackops2. I'm so looking forward to this game. MW3 to me was a complete bust in MP game play. I love Black ops 1 game play and I'm sure going to love playing Black ops 2 in another week. Until then my time will be taken up by playing Halo 4 and trying to beat the story mode on that.

Do not understand the MW3 MP hate. MW2 has been the only dumpster fire in the series and that was still a good game compared to anything else.

Not seeing much recoil but it was inconsistent in BO as well.

MW3 online was atrocious. Lag comp was so tremendously bad and forgiving it wasn't even funny. And the proficiencies were incredibly overpowered.

MW2 only got bad towards the end of it's run.

To me the lag comp was minimal and no different than any other COD game (though the netcoding in Treyarchs are slightly off).

Proficiencies could be argued they were overpowered, but I appreciated MW3 being about gunplay.

Noobs who wanted to OMA, Commando/Lightweight, Noobtube, etc... were exposed. MW2 was by far the most imbalanced COD and it leveled the playing field.

Regardless, BO2 should be a good one. Getting rid of any type of last stand is a huge win in my book.

I agree, that MW3 did a good job at eliminating some things.

I disagree with noob tubing and rocketing still not being an issue.

Lag comp effected me greatly because my connection was too good. I literally had to downgrade my internet to see a difference.

I mean I don't consider these games to be a perfect "simulation" of the real life thing, so I don't necessarily treat it as such when picking it apart... but aside from lag compensation, I don't really get the fuss either. However, I'm a 0.81 K/D and just jump in there and have fun with it.

That said, I like new feature sets with these games, but since MW1, I wouldn't mind the core gameplay remaining pretty similar for years to come.

Then again, I am not buying this game. I've only bought MW2 and MW3. I'll be getting Black Ops Declassified for Vita, but since it will be a little bare-bones, I don't think I can compare it much.

This is one of those rare instances where I am actually glad that I am broke. That way I know that I won't be buying this game even if I wanted to (which I kind of do after seeing some of the multiplayer videos). The damn hype train is just too much for me, just like the past what, five years?
