I can say that the skill required to kill someone is way higher in BF3 than BO2. That's probably where authentic is coming from

So I basically do what I can to help the team by running team friendly score streaks. UAV, care package (in hopes I get a sentry gun or something), and the guardian. I know i'll never get a lodestar or something similar unless I get REALLY lucky, so I don't even bother.

And there are some truly awful players too. I've seen the same person go like 2-25 or so in consecutive games in kill confirmed. Why that is, I don't know. Maybe he suffered from some crazy lag comp, I don't know. But to say that the game takes no skill is a lie people tell themselves when they aren't doing as well as they used to.
i agree with this one hundred percent, even if most of the kills are getting someone from behind, it takes skill to not get flanked yourselves and set your self up in a position to do that and all those campers say it takes skill to patrol an area and it does, CTF on slums can be a gold mine of kills for those who have the skill to guard the 3 entry ways perfectly or a death wish for those who constantly get flanked.puttting a carepackage right in front of the bomb in demolition so the enemy cant defuse it for 10 seconds ( their pretty much dead if they try to defuse it on the other side of the bomb) is a little thing that makes a difference i bet most people have never done.anyone else do that btw? i get 4-5 plants each game and they usually get defused so i sacrifice everything to get the bomb to go off.
i tried not touching anything when i was younger and ended up pissing all over myself.

I agree, there is skill involved. When I watch my wife play, and yes I said wife, she loves CoD, she is not even close to as good as I am, and I'm not that good. Although she has gotten better.

Oh, I agree 100%. I played a decent amount of Battlefield 3, and it's much more realistic in that area (well, in pretty much every area, but I digress).

But to say that it takes no skill to play CoD is just not true. It certainly is an easier game to just pick up and play however.

Not only that but Black Ops 1 took skill. I was a 4+ kd, 13 was a 4+ kd, my friend not on OS was a 3+ kd, none of us are over a two on Black ops 2, yet my friend who has never been over a 1 kd is at a 1.98 in black ops 2. It's possible that some people who never were a dominant player can see this. Incredible was an unreal player with us as well and last time I saw he was right with us around a 1.5. Connection is what matters in this game.

did you guys like to play it slow and wait for someone to come, kill him, and advance to another point in the map because if that is the case its not that skill isnt required, its just that some playstyles have been somewhat reduced in power despite whatever skill you have, smg troll class is overpowered or something, i instantly went from 18-20 matches to 31-20.

Absolutely not. It was a race to who was going to get dogs first. There was no camping involved. We beat teams regularly like 7500-500 in tdm, which is impossible in todays game.

i think the game is just tougher to get a killstreak going because of all the cheap kills from behind, and you friend who is doing much better might be using one of those " overpowered " classes, i've never had any success noob tubing or using any of those overpowered class besides the famas but i think this classes are really a big improvement, the smg with laser probably since the maps are so small and laser sight needs to be nerfed.since this might end up in some argument by some guy complaining about whiners lets change the subject. who loves stealing your teamates carepackages with black hat?had some guy waste all of his ammo, nades, secondary, and just about everything because i stole his hunterkiller while the stealth chopper victim didnt do anything.

This game frustrates me but it's still enjoyable. I don't care about kd anymore because this game takes no skill, which is talked about all the time by random people in lobbies. Its obvious where Activision wants to go and who they want to appeal. I take it for what it is and play.

I can see where Authentic is coming from as far as not requiring much skills in COD games at this point.

In Black ops 2 I would have to agree. The aim assist is very friendly the maps are just run and gun, and the lag comp determines the winner of the game and not the players, and for these reasons I would have to agree with his statement.

Now if this game had better maps and players played in a Lan setup where every one is on a even keel. Then I can respect and recognized who has the skills and who does not.

The way the game has been setup now it takes very little skills to be great at COD BO2. All you need is to be on the right side of lag comp.

I said this also when MW3 came out. Its funny how guys are seeing this now

Just take notice of the score of games. One team totally dominates the other. LAG COMP!

That's not true. Yes some games it happens, always have, always will. I would say that 75% of my games have been close, like within 20 or 25 points of each other. I have had several 1 or 2 point games and a couple of draws. Unless you call 20 or 25 point lead dominate.

All I know is the PC version went back to the stupid lobby system, but if Lag Comp is still in this series then I'm probably no longer interested in this game. I'll wait for Steam's free weekend deal for the game before I even think about buying Blops2.

Is there an attachment that turns the knife into something similar to commando from MW2? I ran into three guys tonight from the same clan just running around and knifing. A couple times, I'd get off a shot from about 10 feet away with the 870 only for them to teleport through it and knife me. It was getting ridiculous. I had to back out of the lobby.

Disagree with this. Most games I'm in on Hard Point are a slaughter. Like 250 to 50. Usually I'm on the team that is less than 50. And it's all the time. Occasionally I get on a team where I'm on the good side of the score and occasionally I see some good close games but it's not often. Not sure if it's cuz I'm not partied up with other people or what. It's gotten reallllly bad this week compared to last for some reason. I was doing about 1.7 k/d before I reset my stats. Now I struggle to stay even or even win a game. This is hour after hour. I even had a game where I went 5-20. Never had that happen before. Something just seems different this week. Games lost some luster for me.
