The only reason I installed the texture pack was I had read that it cuts down on the blu ray lens strain.

But since other games don't really require a "texture" download,I'm not really sure the reason now that I think about it.

Hell,Battlefield 3 didn't require one for the PS3,and that game has ALOT more graphical detail than BLOPS2 .....so color me confused.

Sorry man, I have my notifications turned off so they aren't popping up constantly when I am recording stuff with my PVR, so I always see them way too late.

The Twitch.tv streaming is slick as hell, can even use the Kinect camera to show yourself on the screen. Has a "Live" tab in the upper right of the screen with how many watchers you have. But for some reason nothing was showing up on Twitch for me, even though it said I was streaming. Will have to play with it a little more I guess. Still, this is something EVERY game needs from now on. No buying a 3rd party device with a PC, stream it directly from the console. If COD can do it, everything can do it.

How exactly does scorestreaks work? Because the other day i was looking at the total points required to get them.

The Swam Missels is 1900 well yesterday some guy had the swam misseles so i checked his total points on the leader board at that time.. Well he was 20-4 but at like 1400 or at 1600 and he already had the sawms i know he did not use a care packege so how is this possiable? Ive seen it done meny times with scoresteaks and they are wellshort of the requirements yet people are able to use em.. So how does it really work??

Also 360 users who have the peacekeeper smg how do the attachments &stuff work is it assigned to ur profile?? Reason i ask is i have a lot of freezing issues on my ps3 and sometimes i have to wipe out hard drive and send it in for repair! My fear is when i get to use it on feb 28th and i unlock All camos & attachments that if my system craps out and im forced to send system in & once i get it back i have to redownload the DLC my fear is all the hard work i put into it to unlock the camos & attachments would be gone.. So is it assigned to profile or would i lose all progess if my system crashes?? I hope its assigned to profile so ill never lose progress.

Hardline perk for the first part.....As long as you have the DLC content save to profile you always will have the gun just like the maps

I'm still reserving my thoughts until I get stock attachment unlock but what's everybody thoughts on the peacekeeper?

Peacekeeper is a very fun weapon. Does exactly what they intended it for. It isn't going to win you very many tight, close quarters firefights against other SMG's or Shotguns. It isn't going to outperform most assault rifles long range. But for mid range combat it does its job well.

I think I have around 300 or so kills with it and unlocked around the top 2 rows of attachments for it. It is a fun weapon, but I only use it on certain maps. Best map by far for it is Hydro (to me). Its like they designed that map with the PK in mind.

Other SMGs obviously lack the range of the PK, but they have much better firing rates. I like using the quickdraw and foregrip or stock on it. The irons sights are good on it so you really don't need other sights. I like quickdraw because it seems to ADS a bit slower than other SMGs (to me, I may be wrong but that's how I perceive it).

I also don't like supressor on it, seems better with it off. I do however like using long barrel on it on some maps.

Pretty versatile and fun weapon to use. It allows you to play quicker (if you know what I mean) yet have some AR type distance. I do well with it on only 2 of the 4 new maps (hydro & grind). I really like it on drone and hijacked as well. You guys will like it, it isn't OP by any means, nor is it garbage.

But even with hardline unless he started out 0 and 4 then went on to go 20 and 0 he shouldn't have had a swarm scorestreak.

**update on the texture uninstall for PS3**

So this morning I decided to uninstall the texture pack,I then played several games,and to my delight I didn't have any issues.

I only had lag in one game,but that was due to a bad host with a Mickey mouse connection,after the host migration,everything was silky smooth.

I still have my preferences set to "best connection" and didn't have any issues with finding a game or anything. I also didn't notice any graphical difference....the only thing I did notice was during startup of the game,it took a bit longer,but nothing terribly bad at all.

The PS3 sounded no different either...I was expecting to hear constant spin of the disc as the lens was reading,but to my happiness,nothing...completely quiet.

So overall,I think I'm just going to leave the texture pack uninstalled,as I really seen no benefit to it anyways.

There ya go guys,I turned out to be the guinea pig...

If I understand it correctly,it was advised to download the texture pack on the PS3 (not sure about xbox) as to cut down on lens wear due to constant reading of the disc.

It was located in the menu's under "options" (IIRC) down towards the bottom.

Wanna see how your match is going to go as far as lag? check this out,definitely interesting....and now explains why I see so many shooting when a match starts.
