I rented it, it's not great but not awful. I'll post a bit more later.

I played it for about 30 minutes this afternoon. I'd say it's a good rental. It's a good game but it's very linear and simple. I don't know if it's an easy game to beat but the mechanics are really easy.

some of the complaints I've heard are "boring gameplay, all you do is slash, slash, jump, slash..."

What do I have to say about that? Duh. That's how the arcade games were and they were cool. Why does every game have to be really complicated these days? Geez.

Another complaint "sound is horrible". I guess. They do keep saying the same things a lot but that's in the spirit of the old arcade games. Once again, people nowadays seem to want philisophical dialogue or something...Get real. It's not that annoying.

I like short type games that don't take a long time to get into becuase I have a short attention span so this game is great imo.

          I think it's a rental though.

well, after playing a bit more, I'm through with it. Glad it's rented.

It feels so cheap. Just getting hit and knocked down and there's nothing you can do about it. The bosses are annoying as hell. You can hit them a few times but right after that they'll just hit you no matter what, it seems.

That's the thing I hate the most about games. Cheapness.
