Is a GBA: SP worth the money?

For next semester I might not be driving to school anymore (unless I get another parking pass)so I was thinking about getting a GBA:SP to make the bus ride a little bit smoother. For those that have it, is it worth the money?

I'm mostly a sports gamer, so games like SSX3 I'd rather play on my home console. How is the screen (does it ever get too dim?), I've heard the paint comes off easily, does it include a outlet where I could plug in headphones?

    What games do people recommend?

If I bought a SP, I'm leaning towards a Mario game or the latest Zelda game.

Is it worth the money, yes. Especially if your planning on using it on the bus, as the light in the GBA SP will be more than efficient for gaming.

I havent found a whole lot that Ive enjoyed sports wise on the GBA to begin with, but I do still play Mario Tennis and Golf as well as the pinball games that are out, and Virtua Tennis is still a good game if you like tennis, it is very much like the dreamcast/ps2 versions with the mini games and such.

I bought my GBA SP 2 day it came out and it is used by myself, wife and 9 yr old, and there isnt a scratch on the system yet. Even the 17 month old has had it in his hands a few time with no scratches to the surface left (I have the silver one), so the rumor on that seems to be untrue at least with the one I have.

    Hope this helps.
