Some of us can knock out 15-30 hours of gameplay in literally 15-30 hours.

You have to select them to actually be on the mission before it'll show the real percentage. In the previous titles you only had to hover over the assassins. Press 'A' or 'X' depending on the system and see if you get a percentage.

I'm starting to get towards the end, my friend has beaten it. This is one of the few games I've actually cared about the story with (ME being another one, somewhat sadly). Definitely worth the purchase, I thought BlOps was coming out this tuesday so I was rushing than realized I have a whole week before than, I'm in sequence 11 or 12. Story is ramping up pretty quickly and they definitely do a good job of vilifying the Templars.

It's just a slightly discounted DLC. It's a preorder basically, but you get one for free/cheaper.

Personally I usually do one speed run to take in the story, than do another run to fully take advantage of the surrounding areas. I have the guide for this game and haven't touched it and I won't until it's beaten.

I have sent them on 8 missions and they've been successful 3 times, and aside from the first 2 missions (1 of those successful) the chances have all been in the mid 80%. The previous way of handling assassin recruiting/training was much better than this time around.

            From sequence 3
            Spoiler
If you start by liberating Quebec, Georgia, South Carolina, New Hampshire and Rhode Island with your new recruits, that builds them up quick and they are easy missions. If you liberate a colony you also get bonuses in colonies adjacent to it. Therefore liberating Quebec gets you an extra 10 percent in Massachussetts. Liberating Maryland, NC, Delaware first gets you 30 extra percent in Virginia. Also once you liberate a colony there are further missions you can do which I use to build up my new recruits I got in New York. Yea, its a little strange, but once you learn the strategy it is a lot of fun.

            AC III, I LOVE YOU!!!!!

Also, the way they did the Iriquious(sp?) language in this game is incredible. I dont know if there's ever been a game with so much Native American dialogue. That must have been difficult to implement but they did a great job with it and it really adds to the greatness of the game.
Yea, I constantly learn stuff from this game. The Animus is part of the reason I can't put this game down. I just ride around the cities to see what else will pop up.

Yeah, that was the beginning when Quebec was the only missions available, I'd have all three of my assassins on a mission and they'd still fail. I think I had to burn through 15 attempts to get through the first 4 missions, but since then it has been smooth and I have each assassin burning through an easy colony. It's just bad design to have only a single mission available from the start and have those missions fail at a rate of 74%. They also stripped it down, made it less rewarding, by giving us fewer assassins and less input/change on their ongoing development. It's just shallow and unrewarding.

Its a success rate of around 82 percent or so with 3 level 1 assassins on a mission. I failed a few but it was literally only about 3 times I've ever failed a mission and I have almost all the colonies freed now.

I can only go by my experience, and they just kept failing on those first four missions or so. For those first missions, my success rate was 26%, never mind the 84% rate they claimed.

Ok last night this game glitched on me. I was suppose to follow this guy to the Red Dragon Tavern, however he never moved and that Tavern was no where to be seen on the map. Looked around all the doors in the immediate area and none of them would open either. But it was after 4am so I said forget it and turned the game off.

Should I be keeping animal pelts for any reason other than to sell? I'm hesitant to sell them to the peddler, as i'm not sure if they have any further use.

BTW, hunting in this game is CRAZY fun. Nothing like setting a snare and baiting an animal into it. That and air assassinating a deer.

Well from what I noticed, you don't eat in the game, so I just sell them to make money. Would have been cool though if you could use it to make weapons and clothing out of it like in Skyrim.
