Of all the changes they made, the small city size is what bugs me the most. You simply cannot make a CITY with the map sizes, I do think it will be addressed in a patch or expansion. I know EA and Maxis want as many people to play this game so it was made with low specs in mind but I built a PC just for this game, let me utilize all of its glory!

Re: SimCity 5
Its going to be the size of a medium SC4 city(2 km x 2 km). I enjoy making realistic cities, cities do not just pop up over night with skyscrapers, you build out, and then up. Every big city has neighborhoods that are unique to that area. In SC4 I like to build my city realistically, you can tell how old each area is by the buildings. I just feel like this game has made tons of improvement, just not where I wanted it to be.
I will buy this day one but only because I want to support Maxis, I want this game to be a huge success. sequals do not get more simplistic so I hope we see SC do really well. The more indepth and complicated, the better. My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: SimCity 5
Not sure of the negativity. I played and loved sc4 and think sc5 beta was decent for what it was (limited beta) the map size is probably limited and there will surely be way larger sizes. The graphics maxed out looked good (for this type of game). I LOVE the new water flow system. No more pipe building. There was so much limited in the beta that a lot of things are left unseen. Disappointed in the beta because it did not show much of anything but the actual game should be more of the sim city we love and more.Comment

I'm telling you you man, the map sizes are small. I will enjoy it for what it is but the maps are the same size as a medium sized SC4 city. Like I said before, it's only a matter of time before they allow bigger cities. The only thing holding them back is the glassbox engine, Like any game engine, there is no reason to believe that it could not be improved upon. Basically I think at launch it will not be great but over time will be amazing. Not sure of the negativity. Unless I missed something, how are you seeing the map sizes? Is there not only one map in the beta?Comment

Re: SimCity 5
So I was thinking of getting into a Sim City game. I havent played one since the old Sim City in my Computer Lab that basically you laid huge sections of stuff down and Hurricanes and earthquakes would destroy everything multiple times.
What ones would you recommend? I have a older CPU.
The specs I know are:
4 GB DDR3 Memory
AMD Athlon II X2 processor P320
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250
Lol.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os
Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:37844096
Teams:
NCAA/PRO Football - Miami Hurricanes/Minnesota Vikings
NCAA/PRO Basketball - Syracuse Orange/NJ Nets
NCAA/PRO Baseball - Miami Hurricanes/NY YankeesComment
