Mass Effect 3. I haven't played Max Payne yet, but it's hard to think of something surpassing ME3. Skyrim was special as well.

MLB 12 is the only game released this year that I've purchased. So it's my GOTY so far by default. It would probably be my GOTY anyway though.

I've got a few...

Witcher 2 (Xbox): Wow, this game has incredible storytelling. The dialogue is unprecedented as far as I'm concerned. Great characters, challenging gameplay, and great graphics.

Mass Effect 3: I'm not sure that I liked it as much as 2 (the ending to 2 was much better and immersive IMO), but everything about this game made me want to go back and play it again when I finished. Sometimes, I'd catch myself wondering around the Citadel aimlessly for an hour. The game is that alive.

MLB The Show '12: Is there a better sports series out there? No. Considering baseball is my favorite pro sport to follow, this one is easy.

I am still stick with GTA 5 the best game of the year and still trying to finish.

I would say Mass Effect 3 but the ending absolutely killed it for me. Max Payne 3 was great but not GOTY in my opinion. I put around 300+ hours into Skyrim but the content for it was low compared to most RPG's (Loved the game though). The witcher 2 was great but a remade game I dont think can get GOTY.

Borderlands 2, Halo 4 and Resident Evil 6 are all going to be tried out as well this year.

I will say this, Pokemon Conquest for the DS is one of the best DS games I have played for it in a good while.

Didnt really mean remake in that sense. More like it was just brought over to 360 with a little more content. Still the same base game though.

Even though a lot of users are getting to experience the witcher for the first time, I don't think you should include it in an overall GOTY discussion. Maybe for that platform, but not as an overall GOTY.
