    Windows 7 and older games

Okay first off I want sure If I should put this in here or entertainment and tech so if it's in wrong forum sorry about that.

Anyway onto my question....I'm going to get a new pc that will be windows 7 and looking forward to playing newer games but I was worried that some of my older games wouldn't run properly. Some of them include the Kotors, jade empire, some older total war games like rome. I'm not very pc smart which is why I'm asking lol so any help would be great thanks!

I have the Steam versions of those titles and they run just fine on Windows 7. I think you will be okay.

I have the disc version of Medieval Total War and it works just fine. Its older than Rome so it should be good.

You could always go into the game properties and run it in Windows XP or whatever you wanted if there were issues

Right click on .exe > Properties > Compatibility > Compatibility mode

To add onto this, if you have any problems with really old games, check out gog.com and see if they have a compatible version for sale.

You can figure out to get most games to work with a simple google search, but there are a handful of games (diablo 2 for me), which simply refuse to work properly.
