Question about Xbox Live renewal

I was a beta tester when Xbox Live came out so I had it on launch day. Anyways, when the year is up, which is the 15th, does it renew automatically? I'm not sure if I can renew it, so would I have to cancel before then or does it cancel after 1 year? Thanks.

My guess is that they will automatically charge your credit card on the 15th.

Yeah I think they automatically charge you. You might have to call them and cancel your subscription.

Go to the Account Management section of your XBL account when online and then click on Subscriptions. It will give you full details about your account: Annual or Monthly plan, plus renewal date.

I was a Beta tester, too, and my account will be renewed automatically Nov. 22. I'm on the annual plan.

Why are you canceling? Just curious. I think XBL is the best value in gaming -- $4.10 per month!

yah same here, I used my dads CC with out his knowledge to sign up, I had bought the prepaid pack so he didnt know, but i dont want his card to get charged. I dont have one of my own either so i may have to just buy a new starter kit or something. Im 19 so i should probably just go out and get a CC already
