I can understand not having 56k users connecting to XBL, due to the lag issues and what not. What bothers me a little bit is that the people, I being one of them, who do have 56k and below, usually can't get the updated/new stuff that is made for games unless they buy the Xbox magazine. Wish there was a way that dialup users could get the updates, but I still like my Xbox and won't be getting rid of it anytime soon.

That does suck for 56k users, but I believe those updates are just an added bonus to XBL subscribers. Also, you can use the Action Replay device to get updates.
Cameras or guns, one of them is gonna shoot me to death.

Always good to hear. But as I always look at the grass from the othersise(as you know). I would this MS has more to lose from this. Those that want to play EA's games online will just simply buy the games on the PS2. I think its MS thats losing the sales not EA. That being said, both companies could afford this(the loss) from the fact that EA is not on XBL. So either way, I don't see too much benefit for either company to bring EA to XBL.

THe other side is sony.. Sony would have the most to lose.

You know me, all the sales mumbo jumbo, evil corporations involved, and who has the most to gain mean absolutely nothing to me. I don't play games to make Sony (or any game/hardware developer) happy. I also think I have contributed my fair share to help Sony and their bottom line. I just want to play NCAA 2004 online with Broadband users on XBL. I prefer the fact the Xbox offers the best graphics and to me the optimal online setup being broadband only (my apologies in advance to 56K users). No more no less, maybe I am just a dreamer.

That and I have at the minimum of 2 years before I can even purchase another Sony system when the PS3 is unveiled.

Exactly. I don't care who's fault it is. I don't care which companies it benefits, and which it doesn't, all I care about it playing online. I don't have a ps2 anymore, and since most of my gaming has been online, I doubt I get any EA games next year if they aren't online on Xbox Live. And that is dissapointing, as I thought NCAA 2004 was the most fun game online.
