    I'm having lock-up problems with VC also. No DDE yet and no problems with GTA 3.

        Odd, my GTA 3 locks up, yet my VC works perfectly on my launch unit.

                    yeah, chances are these problems are caused by some dirt or dust on the lens, so the cleaners usually work. I had a prob with my PS2 a while ago, got one of the cleaners with the brushes, and it fixed the problem.
