I agree and I don't think we are very far away. We're not quite at the point where the difference between a game and real life is negligible, but with PC power I'd say we may be there in five to ten years.

This game looked incredible, I'm sorry I missed the display of it. Of course it reminded me a lot of GTA, but that really set the blueprint for all of these sorts of open world games. This was more of the intellectual version.

It is unfortunate we have to wait until the next gen (or so it seems), but it's probably a good thing this is not coming out this year. 2012 is going to run my wallet dry, I think.

This game is further proof that I will never outgrow videogames.

That was just, WOW! Barring bad reviews, definite PC purchase for me. All the hacking/surveillance aspects is what's really hooking me in and to have that much control in an open-world game will be fun!

This is the stage demo, you can see the MP at the end

One of the things that really stand out to me upon rewatch is the acting. Great job by the voice actors and it is actually matched by the facial animation. Wonder if it is motion capture. Then the seamless move right back into gameplay as well? Impressive.

Graphics are absurdly good but doable on PC, just look at Max Payne 3. Hopefully it'll transfer well to 360/PS3 though.

also a guy on facepunch forums is saying that the last part was sort of multiplayer, when the game shows the names of the other "watch dogs" he says those nicknames are from the ubisoft clan frag dolls or something.

                Game of show.

Kind of skimmed through my recordings, but this blew me away.

The MP definitely has me intrigued, which considering how awesome the single player part of it looked says a lot.

I'm pretty sure Watch Dogs won E3. It was such a surprise and such an awesome looking game and it's nowhere near release yet.

That was incredible. If they are able to make this game look half as good as this on ps3 or 360 I would still be impressed. On my radar
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Ubisoft CEO confirmed game for this gen.

Says the video was running on a "high-end PC" but the game will be playable on PS3/360.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that the press conference demo of Watch Dogs was being played on a high-end PC, and announced the game would be releasing on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. When Keighley asked if it would also be launching on next-generation consoles, Guillemot remained cagey, only saying, "We'll see."

This was the most impressive showing at E3. I kept replaying the car pile up sequence.

                              Re: Watch Dogs

I'm glad we will get to enjoy this sooner rather than later, but let's face it, this game won't look or behave anywhere near as good as the demo did on a PS3 or 360. I think they have set the bar a bit too high for themselves now that any console release is bound to be far inferior.

But for those with high-end PCs, well congrats! That will be money.
