Correct me if I'm wrong but that Always Online thing in MP simply means that your PS4 is always connected to the internet, no?

People don't turn off their PS4 and disconnect from the internet when they're done.

I could see a problem though for those who have cap limits.

Single player and multi player are integrated together from what I understand. Someone may be able to explain it better.

If I'm understanding correctly there will be a setting in the game to turn off/on the online aspect.

Just to clarify: Yes, you can turn off the online multiplayer options. If you don’t want anyone hacking into your game or tailing you, simply toggle this off in the menu. But before you do that, keep in mind that the game naturally turns off the multiplayer during missions. “If you’re in a narrative experience, that’s your narrative experience you’re living in,” Belanger says. And that’s not the only time when multiplayer is turned off. If you’re in any activity where it’d be intrusive to have someone enter your world, the game doesn’t allow another player to enter. “We try to make sure it’s when you’re available and during your free-roaming and you’re not doing something else that could be disrupted. That’s when we turn it on and allow players to come in and invade you.”

I am 98% offline single player gamer.
Would have zero issues if online gaming went away and never came back.


I do like that you can supposedly have only people on friends list invade so I may keep it on.

Has nothing to do with being "scared"...for me it's more about being able to relax and enjoy the game without having some moron come in and mess with me while doing so.

Once I have a better feel for the game and have checked out the "lay of the land" more,I will have no issues with folks on my friends list messing around every now and then.

I do like that you can supposedly have only people on friends list invade so I may keep it on.

From what I am reading if you are in the middle of a important story mission or something you are disabled from being hacked. However someone can hack you and help you (Setting traps for police, messaging you through billboards and such, trying to get you to safety, etc)

Okay if we're going off context right?

When you sit down to play a game, especially something like this... talking about having someone else in the game online makes you scared is ridiculous.

and outlast? I wouldn waste my money... im pretty sure the music scares you more than the game itself... It gets weird when you're sitting up talking about isolating yourself in the dark somewhere to play a videogame man cmon.. this conversation is getting stupid at this point.
