Re: Nintendo to launch new machine next year.
It probably won't be out until Early 2005, because it said next fiscal year. They would be wise to pay Rockstar to have the next Grand Theft Auto aboard. Also full online with their games. It doesn't matter if its not profitable, you have to take risks. Mimic the PS2 Controller( go back to the N64/SNES design of 4 equal size face buttons, no-more big *** A button, and y button on the other side to go with the Z button, and analog buttons), make sure is online ready, has a hard drive and you're in business.
One more thing, and this is from a die-hard Nintendo fan: start taking chances. I read the Mario Kart DD interview, and although I haven't played it, I can agree with some points: No real shortcuts(only those mushroom boost over hills instead of real separate paths), and only a minimal amount of carts( Mario has his own kart, but Luigi and the other partners don't). Instead of revolution, they stick close to there guns, and its getting old. Come on Big N, we know you got it in you.If not, Sony and Microsoft are more than willing to shut you out.

Re: Nintendo to launch new machine next year.
I was thinking Nintendo should pull a SEGA and just do strictly games, I think they could make pretty good money selling the Mario games for the other consoles but other than Mario I cant really think of other games they have that would sell well on other consoles, so maybe its not such a good idea. I don't see them beating out Sony or Microsoft in the console dept. though, unless they bring something completely new to the table that nobody else has even thought of.Comment

Re: Nintendo to launch new machine next year.
I've seen a prototype of the N5 already. (The newest nintendo console) and it looks wierd but it takes cds so thats a plus. But what nintendos problem is, that they lost alot of mature gamers. They dont make mature games so of couse they're gonna lose money. Alot of so called mature gamers grew up on NES and they abondoned us with the Gamecube. It all started back on the N64. The artical even stated its popular with the kids. So that right there tells you something.
The Ps2 and the XBOX continue to strive because of its game selection. It has many mature titles as well as some kid titles to choose from. The XBOX does'nt have many kiddie games thats why they're are behind sony. And the lack of of online play for the cube really hurts them also as someone else stated. Its like Nintendo does'nt care about its customers.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment
