The default LMG starts with a mussel break on it which increases it's spread by 30%, the gun has almost no recoil without it so take it off and it's much much more accurate at range. The Type 88 with it's massive spammy clip is better but the C whatever isn't bad at all.

I think that May be it. I didn't realize that gun already had something equipped. My brother was watching me play and has even asked how did those guys not die? I'll give it a try without the attachment.

I found that out in the 360 beta way back when that the default weapons have weird attachments on the that don't make much sense (Laser on an AK12 why?).

The mussel break itself is actually the best attachment in the game for many weapons with the 15% reduction in vertical recoil but not for the starting LMG; completely unnecessary. It's practically the AR best friend. It's very nice on the Type 88 as well.

Also I randomly found out there's a pump action shotgun as a secondary weapon. Getting blasted in the face from a recon with a SR as a primary really confused me for a second.

Are you guys talking about the U-100 MK5? If so, I really liked that gun. I only used it with the default attachments, so I'm definitely going to have to try this without the muzzle brake.

I had kinda forgotten what the actually name of the default LMG was (Battlelog is being annoying and I can't reach the PS4 while in class) but yes the U-100 is the starting LMG. It's only drawback really is that it's the slowest firing automatic weapon in the game.

Also, I totally didn't even notice that my spellchecker was change muzzle to mussel lol.

I think it's a non-factor in BF4 honestly. It doesn't seem to have any effect at all according to testing after about 8m, unlike say CoD where Aim Assist depends on the weapon and on SRs it's like 75m.

How does one join a friends game? I had to go to the dashboard, see who was playing and then join their game from there. I'm sure there is a different way?

And what is the Network smoothing and how and why would I change it?

If you have a Battlelog account and have linked it to PS4 then you can use the in game friends list to join other people.

Network smoothing is kinda hard to explain, in short it tries to smooth out player positions and bullet registration between you and the server to limit the jumpiness that are common on poor connections. This can help a lot if you have a poor download speed or a very very fast upload speed. If you have a good download speed lower it to about 20-0ish but if you also have a very fast upload speed it can give you a slight boost kinda shifting you back in time without a disadvantage.

That's definitely good enough to lower it to 20 or lower. Just do some experimentation to see if you get people starting to jump around randomly.

Is that the game when you went 8-1 against me? I know I had 9-10 deaths and almost all were you.
