For everyone looking for a squad join feature like BF3, I wouldn't get my hopes up...

This is just a short update to let you know that we have heard your feedback on the lack of a squad join feature. While there currently are no plans to include a lobby feature in Battlefield 4, we are listening to you and evaluating our options. In the end, we want to make sure you have a great experience.

Instead of building upon what we had in Battlefield 3, we took a new approach where you are able to quickly and easily find and join friends already playing, or invite them to an ongoing game. You can invite friends either in the Multiplayer menu, or by bringing up the new in-game Battlelog by pressing the Back/Select button.

Some of the feedback that we’ve seen from you is that server slots may get filled up by other players before your friends can join. We understand that this can be frustrating. To avoid this, please make sure that you’re playing on a server that has enough free slots.

If you wish a new squad to be formed when a friend joins your game, you can set this option in the options menu. If you want to be in total control over the team setup, then you can turn this feature off. Once a squad has been created, squad leaders can also make the squad private so that only invited players can join.

Improving the stability of the game and fixing bugs is our priority right now, but we wanted to let you know: we are listening and your feedback is appreciated.

Which option is that?

Squad stuff is still weird to do in-game, but I hate having to do my load outs in-game.

First BF game and I must say I am loving it, doing good on Domination and Team Deathmatch because I am a long time COD player, but I just can't get the hang of that Conquest mode, keep getting spanked lol, but I'm down to play anytime, PSN: SkylerC989

That's the option that makes you automatically squad up with the person that you join

Right. What is the option called/where is it in the options? I haven't seen it and didn't know it existed.

But its only for joining and not for inviting?

The only knock I have on the Xbox One version is that no one revives nor communicates. It's every man for themselves. I rarely even see health packs laying around. Nod goes to PS4 in this area

I believe it's part of the China Rising DLC.

Battlefield.com has listed the following features in China Rising DLC:

• Four multiplayer maps - Silk Road, Altai Range, Guilin Peaks and Dragon Pass
• Five new weapons
• Vehicles involving both air and land, like dirt bike for land and a bomber for air
• Two new gadgets have been added - Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) for the Support class and Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SUAV) for the Recon class
• It will feature Air Superiority Game Mode
• The game will have ten new assignments with newer unlockables
• It will be available for the Premium members of the game, a couple of weeks earlier

What happens if I'm in a full squad of friends already. Let's say you decide to join me and it goes into the auto balancing thing to allow you to squad up. Would that essentially pull me out of my current squad to pair up with you?

Yep. It automatically creates a squad and pulls you into a 2 man squad with you and me

I believe it is called "squad with joining friend" in the options. Inviting can be done through Battlelog or the PSN menu

To add on in case anyone was wondering. Yes, it does clear your squad progress so you lose any field specs you already had.

Found that out over the weekend. Pretty lame.

Two things.

If your on the Xbox one add me on Origin or XBL.

Two, I found out yesterday that if you have premium on 360 it carries over to xbox one..How cool is that.. Im' glad i don't have to buy it again.
