Honestly this game is a mess right now. I'd exchange it and pick up a used copy if/when they fix the issues.

Last night was rough trying the new maps on XB1. Hopefully things get cleared up soon.

Jnes have you unlocked the m249 saw? I feel like that gun is much better than all the other lmgs I used so far. Fire in 5 round bursts for mid to long range unless you got the bipod setup. It eats anything close range because of its fire rate. I couldn't use lmg's at all, but I stuck with them since it's double xp. M249 is actually a great gun for me at least.

Electronic Arts is done with Battlefield 4 expansions for now.

In a statement provided to Polygon, an EA spokesperson said that expansions are on hold until developer EA DICE fixes the problems that have plagued the game across platforms since its launch last month.

"First, we want to thank the fans out there that are playing and supporting us with Battlefield 4," the spokesperson said. "We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game — it is absolutely our No. 1 priority. The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game. Since Battlefield 4 China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week, but we're not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4. We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel their pain. We will not stop until this is right."

The spokesperson advised Battlefield 4 players to visit the Battlefield 4 Control Room website, where EA will be posting updates about the game.

Since its launch on next-gen consoles, Battlefield 4 users have reported crashes on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Yesterday, the China Rising expansion launched, but players reported being dropped, booted and unable to connect to servers. Check out Polygon's Battlefield 4 review, which was recently updated to reflect the ongoing problems with the troubled first-person shooter.

This is 100% EA's fault for forcing DICE to rush the game out IMO

That used to be my gun until i discovered and learned how to use the AEK


the recoil is stressfull but the way this gun spits out bullets youll never lose a gunfight from a reasonable distance

So you feel the ACW-R is the best carbine? I was wondering what people thought the best carbine was. Early on (ranked 13th) I feel the initial guns you start with in each class are the best so far. Only one I might feel different about is the Assault Class as I like the SCAR.

I've only tried the AK5C, ACW-R and ACE 52 carbines and the ACW-R is by far my favorite. But I retired it temporarily so I can get battle packs and whatnot for other guns

I'm slightly pissed about this. Why did I buy premium if I'm not going to get my DLC in a timely manner?

I mean I'm glad they're fixing it, but the crash bug was present 3 weeks before next gen launch at press events. Why wasn't it fixed then?

My favorite carbine is the SG553. Little slower in RPM (830 vs 880) than the ACW which for me is a plus. Its the carbine I've had the most success with, 426 kills 15% accuracy.

Yeah, since I doubt EA would refund me my money for premium I am just going to go through my bank and tell them I am not getting what I paid for and have them get me my money back.

Me too. Even without the delay I didn't see the value and I play the crap out of this game. I can wait 2 weeks to buy content if I even want it. Already got China Rising for preordering. Some of what they have planned underwhelms me.

Oh you were right, we did win ONE game attacking the other night too.

One more thing about weapons. I find myself getting to the point that I use a weapon so much that I get "bored" with it. So I switch it around to keep it interesting. When I first switch I want to go back to the old gun but must resist even if I'm getting worked. My goal is to at least get 100 kills with every non sniper rifle/shotgun in the game to at least see what each is about.

At the end of the day it's the "feel" I think that matters most.
