Everytime I try join a friend it says that that server is full. Not to mention when I finally get into a game we are usually on the opposite team.

You just need to find a server with open slots and join your friends there. Even if they had the squad setup before joining, you wouldn't be able to join someone in a full server regardless. If you and your friends want to squad up, find a server that has more than 1 open slot.

Only issue I have with the servers is the friends list. Why not just stick the friends tab in the actual browser? The friends menu before the server browser stopped working for me. It actually showed up first day, but it has been telling me no friends online.

I hate it to. Whenever I seem to join my friend and we are on party chat I get booted from the sever. Happened three times tonight. Then once randomly. Good ol EA

The thing is if they had the party/squad option before you even search for a game then you would at least be able to get into a game with your own squad and play which is a lot better than playing with randoms. Instead to be able to get a squad going you have to sit there watching the matches your friends are in and hope and pray that a spot opens up. If we were to try to get 4-6 of us on at once you know how much of a pain it will be for all of us to try to join the same game? It wouldn't be a problem for me if the damn server browser worked as well that way I could actually search for games with 5 or so spots open so I could invite others onto the game. Right now it seems like only the quick match works and most of the time it joins a server that is close to being full.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game but these issues are thoroughly sucking the enjoyment away.

Sure, its not hard to join up with friends (going through the PS4's XMB has the most success for me as the Battlelog crashes and freezes the game if I try to send invites), but the fact that they didn't even include the ability to squad up before getting into a game makes no sense considering this is a team-oriented game and has been a staple of the series.

I've had one crash in the last week. I'm at the 100 hour mark so been playing it a lot.

I usually play with Dolby Digital off though as this seems to be an issue occasionally with anything PS4. When I play with it on in the bitstream I have more crashes in BF4.

I managed to hit level 25 last night (which was my goal for the week) thanks in large part to the 100% XP bonus.

Marino, Boltman, and myself were running together for a couple hours. For the first 60-90 minutes we were getting our butts handed to us as the other team ran as one big squad and just bull-rushed everything while we had the usual squad(s) of recon.

Still had fun. The dam took both of them out haha.

Candyman, the reason they took it out is because it is nearly impossible to do what you are saying.

In BF3, we'd squad up with 4 people, join a server with 4+ spots, and still end up on different teams. Why? Because just because there are 4 spots, it doesn't mean there are 4 spots open on one team. It was usually something like 11 on 9, so 3 people would go to one team with one person stuck on the other team.

So what they did was implemented a feature that automatically joins you with a friend that you join when it is possible. Here's how it works; if you are on the other team (say your team has 14 and your friend's team has 15), you will automatically be switched to your friends team and squad as soon as the team balance makes it possible (when the teams are even). If you are in the Battlefield, as soon as you die you will get switched. I'd argue that this feature is better than squading up before the game, especially with the party chat function.

I had to place myself on the other team (which I finally discovered how to do last night lol) when I joined up with Al and Kevin last night. As long as the server has 5+ spots open it shouldn't be a big deal.

Dog, are you joining friends games from the Battlelog or the Friends playing server list?
