Yeah you're joining off the psn friends list doing it that way. You aren't technically joining them, but joining the server they are in. The ingame battlelog is awful, it lets you press triangle to join them sometimes but most of the time that doesn't show up. You need to use battlelog on your phone or computer.

Ok, thanks for the info. I guess only the people I have as friends on battlelog show up at the top of the friends list in game and allow me to join on them with triangle. I definitely do not have many people added on battlelog so I guess I will just continue to manually squad up with people when we are in the same server.

It starts off unlocked and is part of the Recon default kit.

edit: you sure? It says I need like 120 kills to unlock it with the default sniper gun.

That's how you unlock the range finder, get the necessary amount of kills with said weapon.

Ubernoob is referring to the pld (binoculars) as you can use that to find the range.

Oh okay thanks for clearing that up, by the time I get that amount of kills I'll move on to better sniper rifles and have to start all over

Had a really good weekend finally with BF4, no crashes and smooth joining of servers. Looks like it might finally be getting more stable

Blueandgold that was a good game last night. When I knifed your boy and then you ran at me to take my tags but I counter knifed it, that was my first counter knife and it felt fantastic taking your tags LOL

You did manage to retaliate when I caught that 320 round to the face ha ha

If anyone plays on the One feel free to add me. I use my mic all the time so I would prefer people who use their mice as well. Gamertag is SUBLLME with two L's. It reads as SUBLlME though. Definitely looking to add some more people to play with though

I really miss the Bad Company series. It had the fun factor which I think the last 2 battlefield's are lacking in my opinion. Like the article says less is more. Bad Company 2 and the vietnam dlc were the most fun times I had playing a game. Now everything is just so convoluted analyzing every weapon and vehicle and how to control them. In Bad company you had your weapons & vehicles you looked at what it did that was it. I had some trouble connecting while I was home on my lunch break. Then finally got into a conquest game and the server had 3 on each side. Quit and reupped and finally got a full server.

On another note I swear the stupidity of people while playing this game is going to give me an ulcer and its all related to the vehicles.

They really need to implement something that if you bail out of a heli that has more than 20% health you are not allowed to spawn in a heli for the rest of the match. Nothing drives me more crazy than some miserable sniper that is probably going to hit one guy taking a heli and crashing it near their perch or the assault guy that can't be bothered to spawn and run to an objective so they fly the heli and crash it right into the objective. Instead they give air superiority over to the other team. I'm all for learning the vehicles even if they don't want to use the test range and even if they can't shoot them down at least occupy the interest of the opposing team's aircraft so they aren't lighting up ground vehicles, which are the key to conquest.

And what is so hard about hitting R1 when you have someone in your scope before hitting R2 and alerting the world where you are at. I can understand a couple on a team not knowing how to do this but there are 32 players on each team.

Yeah I hate recon that use a heli for transportation. I do it the old fashioned way of good old running. If I play recon I usually take a quad and park it near me in a concealed location so I can easily shoot and scoot. That way even if someone spots me while I am heading to my spot the marker will disappear from me when I get off it. Plus if I play recon its only when we are controlling a majority of the objectives and can play defensively at whatever point the enemy seems to be targeting. Having a quad nearby helps me get to another point if they change their attack focus.

On rush, I like to place a spawn beacon behind the objective so we can spawn there. There's always that one guy who loves to spawn in and just shoots at the first guy he sees without even moving from the spawn location. I hate that guy.

If you're not gonna move from the spawn beacon so you don't give it away, at least put on a silencer. Great you killed that one guy, but now you lured half the team to that location. That spawn beacon is ****ed.

I dont fly AT ALL! Im trash at flying so I leave that to the experts!

But if I'm riding in a chopper I go down with the ship, I saw a thread where they were saying that bailing puts your team at disadvantage (like you're saying).

But I absolutely spot EVERY PERSON I see, even if Im getting killed I spot them becuase it helps the snipers and everybodyon my team!
