Good games tonight guys, I don't think we've ever destroyed so many tanks in one collective set of conquests before.

I freaking love playing Engineer, just opened up the SRAW, is it a lot better than the LAW? Because even though the damage isn't that great I love using it and get a lot of vehicle kills with it.

And the Saiga is just a fun shotty for me.

The SRAW is very satisfying to use and also has potential to do massive damage.

A move that many use with the sraw is to aim into the sky and fire a rocket. Reload and shoot a rocket at a tank. The first missile should come down on it possibly doing 40-50 damage to it since the top of the tank is a weak point and your second rocket should hit for 22-50 depending on where you hit the tank.

I'd just like to say its fun trying to shoot down choppers with it. I'm not sure if you played bc2, but the sraw is just like the AT-4

When I'm playing conquest, I see points pop up frequently for "conquest control". Is this just when your team is holding the majority of flags, or when you are holding down the fort on a flag that you've already captured?

I was playing conquest as Recon on Hainan yesterday, and wound up holding down the flag by the skeleton of a ship by the water for the majority of the round basically by myself. Just sat by the mounted machine gun on the hill marking out absurd amounts of enemies, targeting vehicles, picking off other snipers, and taking out anyone who got too close to me with the Rex. I wound up getting a LOT of points for conquest control, and i'm not sure if it's because my team was winning or because I was holding the fort down on that particular flag.

Definitely. I've been playing with the tanks/LAVs more lately. They're fun and if we ran together with support would probably do major damage.

I have carbine on 3/4 of my classes now.

I'm going to equip the SRAW and give that technique a shot next time I play, sounds fun.

as a battlefield fanatic i can say i am done with this game...all my weapons were gone and i was back to having just the ak-12 as a weapon...


i spent all these hours and over 160 dollars on this game

i cant deal with the frustration

I was wondering the same thing playing yesterday too man.

I thought the same thing you did, in that its points for safe guarding an objective.


But there were times where I wouldnt even be close to the area where you could cap an objective. Id just be on the outskirts. Id still see the points pop up for me.


So I'm wondering about that too. I thought it was cool that Dice rewards players for protecting objectives unlike the last version.

Why oh why did DICE change the controls on vehicles....

I absolutely hate the controls being mapped to the sticks,and without the option to change them to the triggers (unless I'm missing something) makes driving the vehicles useless to me.

How long does it take for weapons from the campaign to unlock? When my weapons reset I beat the game, yet don't have access to the M249 yet. Thanks.

You can change them.

Just go to options and change them to the "veteran" option.

I was going to hate that too. Lol

I believe there's 6 weapon unlocks from campaign. 2 of which are knives.

EDIT: For those of you who switched the vehicle controls to the triggers how do you use smoke or thermals? I'm assuming the triggers are gas and reverse. R1 is spot and L1 has to be fire if that's how it's set up.

Analog controls are great for flying as that's what I changed them to in bf3. Ground vehicles took some time getting used to, but only thing that had to be changed was analog relative control.

I stuck with the default since I felt like the other controls that changed probably felt unnatural to use. I'd much rather prefer the firing button be assigned to a single button. I changed the bf3 vehicle controls to lefty just for that reason.

My son's campaign has disappeared. I thought I read earlier people having this problem. Is there anything I can do or is it gone for good?
