I believe there's 6 weapon unlocks from campaign. 2 of which are knives.

EDIT: For those of you who switched the vehicle controls to the triggers how do you use smoke or thermals? I'm assuming the triggers are gas and reverse. R1 is spot and L1 has to be fire if that's how it's set up.

Analog controls are great for flying as that's what I changed them to in bf3. Ground vehicles took some time getting used to, but only thing that had to be changed was analog relative control.

I stuck with the default since I felt like the other controls that changed probably felt unnatural to use. I'd much rather prefer the firing button be assigned to a single button. I changed the bf3 vehicle controls to lefty just for that reason.

Smoke is mapped to the D-pad.

2 knifes:
The shank and the machete.

3 guns:
M249, P90, and QBZ-95-1.

Do you have to do anything specific to get those unlocks or just get through the campaign?

Rex, shank, and machete are unlocked from just going through the campaign. The qbz, m249 and p90 you have to replay the last mission 3 times

I was wondering the same thing playing yesterday too man.

I thought the same thing you did, in that its points for safe guarding an objective.


But there were times where I wouldnt even be close to the area where you could cap an objective. Id just be on the outskirts. Id still see the points pop up for me.


So I'm wondering about that too. I thought it was cool that Dice rewards players for protecting objectives unlike the last version.

Found this on the IGN wiki for BF4 regarding Conquest Control:

Given every 30 seconds to the team with the most flags captured on Conquest. 10 Points are given per extra flag. If the team has four of five flags, they will earn 20 points.

I wish there was a seperate bonus for actually holding down an objective, but I guess as long as your team is working together and holding down the objectives, it's a nice little bonus.

You get 25 per kill if you are inside a flags capture area or kill someone inside of it at range.

Also the IGN article's missing the fact that you get 50 points if you hold every flag on the map per tick.

My son's campaign has disappeared. I thought I read earlier people having this problem. Is there anything I can do or is it gone for good?

I know PS+ backs up saves to the cloud. You may want to see if there is a copy of it there.

Ahh, that's right. Conquest Defense bonus, correct?

Or Attack Bonus if it's enemy controlled but same principle.

You can even get both at the same time. Easiest way is from B to D on the dam map. Kill a guy from your cap to the enemy's.

Well,it looks like I was a casualty of the single player bug.

Went to start up my game,and no resume option...only able to pick difficulty...this is some BS.

I assume you mean for the tanks etc...? If so, they are mapped to the the d-pad as well (I believe it's up).

Nothing in this game beats the Golmud Railway/Operation Locker combination. I always end the night playing those two maps on Conquest and it's just straight chaos.

As for the staff shell on tanks, I use the HE shell and you can't quick switch with it. I think they should make the AP and sabot shells have the same switch delay as the HE shell when using staff shells. Also have active protection work against staff shells & laws

Good games yesterday guys!!

From a weapon perspective I've been pretty addicted to the SAR-21. I find it is the perfect middle ground weapon for most of the BF maps. Great in close, but can also reach out and hit mid to long if needed.

My loadout is

SAR-21
PRISMA 3.4 Scope
M320 grenade launcher
Folding Grip
P226 Side arm
Defibrillator
Grenadier

Ham, cheese, bell peppers, some ro-tell, and diced jalapenos!!! It was GOOD!!!

I think that was my first 10,000 plus round.

Oh and chase your PSN name vs your OS name always throws me for a loop.
